How are Compassion Clubs legal??

I mean I noticed that some of them advertise on places like Leafly with a whole menu AND prices. how is this not a Dispensary??

How are they not all being swarmed by SWAT and taken down? Seems like it's a 100% illegally operating Dispensary.

I walked into one and they asked me to fill out 5 pieces of paperwork. I said fuck that. No clue what all that legalese said and they wouldn't let me take it to my lawyer.

Whats up with these places?

we shall see what happens. personally i only think it is a matter of time before law enforcement finds out about them. i think that is really the key. the cops all over this state have no idea what the fuck is goin on. in the article a few months ago about the guy in gilbert who got raided for an ounce or two by like 14 full on swat members, i remember one of the officers talking about the guys card and saying "are you even supposed to have this," once again this state is much like the wild west. it will be a while before things get straightened out. i do not visit the compassion clubs anymore and on reason is because i think it is too risky.

I think you might be right. I figured they would touch on this issue a bit more yesterday at the meeting but apparently not.

Cops know about these clubs the state has talked of shutting them down as well and I suppose it's anyones guess why they haven't done anything a big political mess if you ask me.

I think everyone has taken a wait and see approach to the clubs. The DA has already filed for them to be shut down so I think the police are just building their cases waiting to see what the judge determines. There are several clubs out their that are working in an illegal fashion and will most likely get raided. the Only club that I'm familiar with that I feel stands a chance is the 2811 club. Sobel has put a lot of lawyers to work to develop a company with the profit potential of a dispensary while bypassing all the requirements but still meeting every provision of the law. I hope the Clubs are found to be legal; It provides the ability for me to grow while discouraging people from opening dispensary's.

I wouldn't be too quick with that. Alan just 6 months ago was considered the biggest scumbag in town in the Marijuana Industry. For crying I heard his scam right before MMJ was selling illegally papered purebred dogs on the Internet. Better check on that first.

As for tons of lawyer, he is a paralegal and does all this himself last I heard. Go through county records and see all his lawsuits, MANY, filed against him and by him.

I'd be leary of anything that smells like Sobol.

Sobel practices law as a Pro se litigant, basically he represented himself in a few cases, and now calls himself a lawyer.

I know im a dick, but there are 1000's of people just like Bill and alan sobel just waiting for a fool or an esy mark...
we fiannly get semi legal weed and its tarbished by fucks trying to turn a buck......

Im not saying sobel is the marijuana savior I just feel that his model seems to be the only one that fits within the law. And I do find it ironic that he was all about dispensorys, and now thinks they are a waste of time.
