Hortilux Ceramic HPS

I walked into TSC today and found they are carrying the LEC sunlight brand ceramic HID 315watt kit including bulb ( hood, ballast, cord, yo yo) for 350 CAD. I was shocked to see deep water culture setups, led lighting, 1000 watt light kits in a farm supply store beside packs of veggie seeds. I'm in need of another smaller light set up so im just looking for input on ceramics. I was gonna go with another 400watt set up for a 3x3 but if these things are actually decent I'd be willing to try. Any body ever run this brand?

Well there it is there thank you so much for showing those pictures I'm going to do a bit more research but I think this is going to be where it's at as far as HID lighting goes

I've been talking with my grow store guy about these the last month. He has a couple coming in soon, and one has my name on it. I was impressed when I saw the stat sheet on them on the hortilux site... 85 CRI?!?!?! Definitely gotta be a huge step up from the regular SE HPS lamps. Looking to do a side by side with the Ceramic HPS and HLG 550 LED. Should be epic!

I hope you make a journal my guess would be close to the same yield and ceramic would be frostier but less dense

I promise, i will make a journal if I do the side by side. Both lights seem top notch...
Yes if I had the space I would do a side by side I really like my CMH but the led just make denser higher yielding per watt and the ability to dim if it gets too hot is priceless in my space.

it will be critical for me too. I only have 7' ceilings... sometimes that is hard to deal with, especially with no-tills on floor dollies... lose a lot of headroom with that set up lol

Yeah that's a couple feet of canopy lost but thats cool I want to try notill someday just way too much work to be worth the extra effort in my current space. I've done the cooked super soil that was great just takes alot of space to get the soil ready more expensive for a slight flavor increase vs jacks hydro nutes
