hello my friends.
i have bought my cooltube (490mm X 125mm) and 600 watt HPS.
i will buy homebox XL this week.
i will use 2 fans, one is for exhaust ,and other one is for cooltube.
i will use 418 CFM ELICENT fan for exhaust(it is vortex style fan )
and i will use 136 CFM ELICENT fan for cooltube.
QUESTIONS:
1)is my choice correct about capacity of fans ?
2)where should i put the cooltube's fan ?should it blow fresh cool air into cooltube,or it suck hot air from inside of cooltube ?

3)i have a magnetic ballast.how can i connect ballast and my hps lamp with each other ?i am confused:?:

4: the reflector of cooltube is blue.is it problem ?

thanks

You're not using a filter? Where will you be ducting the heat from the Cool Tube? You should be using the stronger fan for the Cool Tube and the other one for fresh air intake near the bottom of the box. You can put the fan outisde of the box. I have mine on top(using a Homebox L).

I would use the highest capacity fans you can fit / afford especially for the 600 watt cooltube

I make mine suck through the cooltube. Works great.

As long as your ballast is either switchable or designed for HPS lamps and rated at 600 watts why not?

From the instructions that should have come with your cooltube...
”NOTE: Remove protective overlay from specular insert before using”.
Also check the add-on reflector “wings” if you are using them. They also have a clear, amber or blue protective film on them that must be removed prior to use.

Cheers,
BB
