im just using sprayers from home depot and a pond pump .... i did cheat and take a drill bit that was 1/32 larger than the nipple on the sprayers and ream it out all the way down including the orifice so it has a larger jet now which doesnt restrict the pump as much and allows it to move volume like the pump was designed to do ...... i get sheets of water but my sprayers wont clog or spray stupid from minor salt build ups

Ok so popped some beans in paper towel the other day ..... Now that I have tails I took 1" x 1 1/2" pieces of single ply napkin and folded in half so I have a little 1/2 x 1 1/2 with a germed seed in it and stuck that down in the lava rocks ..... The test patient I did a few days ago already has roots hanging and is growing towards the light. Hate losing the time but glad I hit the reset button for sure now...... I see roots :D

@black jesus this a GDP bag seed from some Colorado bud. It's in 3/4 str kellogs trans planted a week ago or so no burn or nothin just chuggin along
Looking good to me. I just picked up 2 big bags of perlite from Home Depot for $18. I got them half off since they had holes in the bag that I didn't not put in there lol....but the Kellogg's seems good to me. I hear people using of farm and adding up to 30% perlite. But since this soil doesn't have as much I'm thinking 50/50 which could mean a very fast veg.....

Take a foam cup. Cut the bottom off and burry half way in your pot fill the cup with a very light mix and place seed in...cover with plastic wrap. You should be great...I would leave some room for the seedlings to grow a few inches

Those roots do not look very healthy, but you say they are not slimy (yet). One of the biggest problems in NFT is the temp of the res. What is your temp? If it is above 75 degrees then you will have stuff growing in there, and it will attack your roots.
