Parts list ....

2 tubs
6 net pots ..... i made these from some like 4" square pots ( the top tub is only like 7 bucks so its not a big loss if i need to switch to another style net pot
3 1/2" cpvc T's
4 1/2" cpvc 90's
2 foot of 1/2" cpvc
5-6' of garden hose
280 gph pump cant remember the name its the high dollar 280 gph not the cheepo 300 gph that wont cut the mustard with the 8 assorted sprayers

6 90 degree micro sprayers around the perimeter
and 2 rose sprayers down the middle ( had some spinners but they were already giving me problems and i just fired it up again so i nixed em )

nutes
Im going to use sensi bloom ph perfect 2 part and im going to attempt to adjust the A to B instead of using veg nutes ( may grab a small bottle of the micro from the 3 part ph perfect because i ran into iron issues last grow with sensi if it doesnt have iron either ill find some other chelated source )
..... Ok now for the hold my beer part ..... No ec,ph or tds meter will be used .... Also using my tap water ..... It's actually good well water so no biggie there
lemme go find some pics ........

Day 1 btw .... Just hand watered the jiffy pucks that are on lava rocks elevated above the holes I drilled in the pots so the jiffy is only getting water I Give it

3 of em already shed shells and are working on the turn to the light ..... 2 are rainbows poking out and one barely has a tail pokin out ...... I'll update again after roots find the sprayers

I've ran this setup with clones once and Dwc a few times ..... Normally a soil less grower basically the same I guess ..... I've been scared of power failures at this location is why I haven't tried lately ..... They just clear cut around all the power lines out here so it's a lot more dependable lately and has been for 5 months or so

First time with autos though

My dream is to pull a elbow from 2 of these setups. And a 600w dreamin big and all
Also have a wire scrog that goes in there towards the bottom to tie the stalks too and lst tie downs. And a net that goes in around preflower stretch

Had a high pressure mister system but it had issues with it leaking out one of the sprayers before I even had the timer setup. So it went back ..... They tried to replace just the mister but the problem I saw with that is the system has a solenoid valve on it so it shouldn't of leaked like it was even with a bad nozzle ..... So I knocked the dust off this pump and got busy

Well down to 4 dropped 2 more beans. Ordered some net pots I may just start over with collars and no media. Lava rocks worked good with the clones but think the jiffy is gonna give me problems unless I lower my sprayers or somethin after the roots finally make it out the bottoms

So...I am familiar with nft but have a couple other Q's:

What is lpa?
How is that nft with the tub? Seems a dwc-like set-up to e so I'm kinda scratchin' my head...?

Low pressure aero ...... Pump runs 24/0 so it's really a nft due to the constant flow ..... It's two tubs stacked so there is a res and growing chamber for the roots to hang in :). Like a 10 gal on top and 17 on bottom I'll check later

True aero is a high pressure mist 50 microns or smaller ,few second spray every couple of minutes , it's also drain to waste. And I'm recirc so it's also a faux aero at the same time >.<

What was scary is I was starting them in my clone cab. Planted a bunch of delphiniums went in the next morning to check and all the little jiffy buttons were a crisscross of webs.
I had the same problem out of cow pots ... The little planters made out of manure. Had cotton candy lookin shit growin in there .... Hopefully the tiny bit of pool shock I'm running in the res will handle anything the jiffy has if it does

Thanks!

So basically, it is just a constant flow of water/nutes over the roots, and that drains down right away, with no DWC reservoir? OK thanks, I was curious 'cause I got an old kids game table that is a plastic clamshell with removable legs I wanted to covert to some for of hydro system...sounds like this might be a way to go....DWC is what I want to do with it but may need something to deal with the top portion of the roots since the net-pot would be at lest 6 to 8 inches above the DWC "bath"...

if i have 12 gallons in my res the net pots are 18" or so roughly above the water .... i just have flaps cut out in the bottom of the top tub and the lid of the res .... so the roots will all bridge/mat in the tub, some will work down eventually im sure but dont want to waste anymore vertical height on containers
