Himalayan Gold from Herbies

noxiously

O.K., I got bored, and when I get bored I like to research different strains, and the companies that sell these strains. During my research, I came across Herbies. Not sure how well they are; actually I've never heard anything about them at all. Anyway, I was just cruising around looking at their seed selection and came across Himalayan Gold, and I don't know what to think about it. They have the yield listed as 1500 grams per plant!? Could that be right? Would that be if it was grown outside in an area, like Cali, or Florida where the growing season is very long? I don't see getting that much off one plant, especially indoors, unless you have a bunch of 1000 watt lights surrounding just that one plant and you have it in a place where the ceilings are 10 ft. tall.

Any thoughts on it?

Oops, I just noticed, it's actually Himalayan Gold by "Green House" seeds, but it's on Herbies web site.

That's 3.3 pounds, and yes, you actually can yield that much on a plant **IF** its grown outdoors and done properly. In fact, its possible to yield over 5 lbs with some strains.

You need to grow big (ie 6+ foot high) plants, and train them so they bush out with many top colas to get yields like that, but it can be done.

The problem is that most people simply don't have the space or inclination to grow these "trees" on their property.

Can it be done indoors? Well, in theory, again, yes, assuming enough light, time and training, but in practice, most indoor growers find it much more practical to grow smaller plants.

Yea, I've seen some monsters, but they were all outdoors. I know a guy who would veg his plant for a whole year indoors, let it get to around 5 to 6 ft. tall then transplant it outside in the spring to let it finish outdoors. Some plants would get close to 10 ft. tall, and yes, I have seen it in person. I had to climb a ladder to reach the top. Sure, it was alot of time invested into a few plants, but the end result was crazy.

Like we both stated, these results could be done indoors, but unless you have a large room, with a shit load of lighting, then I don't see someone getting 1500 grams off one plant that easily. I came across someone who had a few plants that were no taller than 3.5 - 4 ft. but they were bushed out to be atleast 6ft. in diameter. I laid down next to one, I'm 6'1, and it was wider than I am tall. Talk about crazy. It took him a loooong time to get it like that.
