high tap ppm??

I just got a tds meter and ph meter in yesterday my tap PPM is 250 I'm assuming it's going to cue problems can anyone confirm? I'm going DWC but assuming I need an RO filter now? Thanks for the info

They make special nutrients if you have hard water like that at least I know general hydroponics does

250 is really low for tap.

Alright thanks everyone I'll just do a run with no RO and if I start noticing any issues I'll get an RO system

Hmm maybe I'll get some calibration solution this weekend just to make sure I'm kinda trusting this meter out of the box. But would anyone assume I would have any dwc issues with tap at 250? This is my first grow I was just going to run some iguana juice grow and bloom then add some bloom booster. Not too concerned with yield this is a "get the bugs out" run

My tap water is 0.35 on my e.c pen and when I filter it it only comes done 0.05 leaving my base e.c of 0.3. I have had no dramas so far so I think you will be fine.

I used to dwc with a couple buckets and my water was 260ppm.I didn't have any problems.i did keep water for changes in a black garbage can with air stones to make sure I had no chlorine ..
