If I wasn’t building a wardrobe cabinet, for vegging, beside the hinged door, I could have put a sliding bookcase in front of it also.

In fact now you have me consider some kind of movable/hinged shelves in front of the hinged door.

While I'm at it make sure slides are self closers and get yourself a poll to slide down like batman.
