I can't get snail bait atm and I have heard crushed egg shells work. How do you use them crush the eggshells and sprinkle around the plants? I will use it until I can get some bait.

The snails/slugs won't crawl across the sharp edges of the eggshells. You can also use a copper ring. When they touch it it has an effect kind of like aluminum and dental fillings. The slight electrical shock makes them turn the other way.

For caterpillars the best thing I've found is a product called Thuricide. It's a BT pesticide specifically for caterpillars. It's a natural bacteria based product that affects the target pest specifically and is safe for pretty much everything else.

Yeah the trolls nways less said about them the better.

I'll keep that in mind I actually neglected to test oh on the insecticide I didn't occur to me to check that

I'm actually using just pure neem oil from an Indian shop.not any product per say so there is zero mixing info I'll post a pic later of it.eithef way it seems strong and I didn't wash the leaves after application the night before. I thought it would be okay. The sun kicked up those days and it was 32 degrees plus so I guess the leaves got fried

Do u wash after using the azamax?won't that render it useless

I never did. It needs to be ingested to work and the usual protcol for treating an active infestation, for regular spider mites at least, is to spray three times once every three days. Rinsing it off would definitely be counter productive. You could rinse it off a few days after the full treatment cycle but it would be better to leave it as a preventive.

The one situation where rinsing it off might make sense is if you had to use in early flowering and wanted to make sure that none of it lingered in the buds. You don't want the stuff in the buds and I personally make sure to never use it if I can't be done with the full treatment cycle before the end of the stretch when the pistols and calyxes start to stack.

It might have just been the water drops magnifying the sunlight. My phone is being slow and I wasn't able to see all of the pictures you posted. Was it just spots on the leaves (likely burning from the sun) or were they twisted (what I saw when I didn't ph the Azamax)?

I sprayed at night and it had the entire night for the drops to evaporate also the leaves turned yellow then Brown then crispy. It could have been the sunlight dishwashing liquid I used as a spreader. Some of the young growth that grew was a bit twisted. The leaves that lived but are damaged are like bubbled

I love reading here, but I don't have any MJ growing experience..
But I have been a horticultural and agriculture student, with wholesale nursery experience for nearly 20 years..

That being said.. I don't like the idea of using dish soaps as a surfactant on anything I'm not intending to eradicate.. In fact, the only time I personally use it is when there is a threat of rain but I still need to apply herbicide.

I do know it will decrease surface tension of liquid, so my theory would be soap allows the liquid to dissipate faster??

Those here with real experience may testify to it's usefulness for specific applications like yours. I'm not against learning something new, so don't take my words as advice just opinion.

That definitely sounds like more than the sun.

Never feed more than the minimum you can tick over with, a deficiency takes 3 days to recover from, a toxicity, 30 days.

There are a few hydro shops around the Cape, the one in Kraaifontein is small, but the owner is nice.

Lol I was a shadow guy too bro for a long time it does help though I think I have learned alot from just reading things on various forums from simple stuff to posts about hormones and genetics to breed your own strain.

Shot Bru...I am currently feeding Efekto Nitrosol at 1/4 strength every second week...I just increased to 1/2 strength this weekend and they loved it...Do you think I could feed every week? I know it's contrary to what you have said.

I wouldn't even grow over there, weed is so cheap, even the outdoor cheap weed is good threre.
By the time it gets down to the Cape, it can smell like granny panties.

There is good outdoor here and yes it is cheap. But the problem is that there is a lack of good local outdoor, the good outdoor is referred to as skunk and you can see it has indica in it. Many growers are switching to indoor or growing overseas strains outdoors. I really fear for the local variety.i think it is going to get diluted and eventually won't exist as it was so part of my aim is to preserve it. I am definitely going to use a plant or two to breed out the local. My aim is to get an awesome strain of local which I will keep and then stabilise a phenotype from there.

I won't be breeding the indoors if they are not sativa dominant.im still deciding about the indoors and whether to cross them with the local or breed them with each other.

I really prefer sativas. I get too lazy with indicas.

Here is a pic of all the big girls in the morning bathed in light. I have heard of sea of green before and so I am keeping my plants in a mini sea. Do you think I should sea them or spread them a bit?
