hey! what do you think??

My 3 og kush ladies in 3 gallon pots under a 600w mh using 420 blend soil. Their 3 weeks old from seed. What do you think? I feel like their kinda too light green for being an indica. I topped them so thats the reason for the short stature.

No red light, no temp gauge, 2 fans. I wanna veg them till about 3 or 4 ft tall. And the soil is 420 blend. Northern county bounty or some such shit. Bought it from a hydro store. Would the red light help make them taller? Im a straight up newb at growing so any advice would help..

I always start seeds or clones in red solo cups and put a few holes in the bottom and sides. Then after about 2 weeks I transplant into 1 gal pots. When they're about 1ft tall I transplant to 2 gal pots. I think a 600w is overkill for small plants like yours. I usually veg with 4ft fluoro shop lights until about 1ft tall then put under a bigger light. I never use a temp gauge or humidity gauge but they're very cheap and nice to have. Good luck and don't give up. Its well worth it in the end as long as you don't tell any of your friends that you're growing. If they get mad at you or blab to the wrong person then you might find yourself in a bad situation.

No. the 600w is better. When you get ready to flower, change to a HPS. It has more red. If you have an electronic ballast, all you have to do is change bulbs. A 4 ft tall plant is more than a fluorescent can supply.

How many bulbs in the t5 light fixture? I would put them under the t5 and maybe buy another t5 the same size. I like LEDs for veg but t5s work good too. I'm using a 600 MH for flowering but Ive always used a 1,000 mh with a 1,000 HPS side by side. But I sold them to try out the LEDs.

What brand of nutrients are you gonna use? Did you buy anything yet?

You must not have looked at the pics of his plants. They are like 8 inches tall so a 600 is definitely overkill right now. Hps will get you a lot of bud but it wont be nearly as dense as bud grown under a MH. Its a trade off and comes down to personal preference.

I assume he knows enough to raise it up. They won't always be 8" tall.

Yeah but they are only 8" tall right now. The T5 is more than capable of 3 little ass plants in veg. And I never said they will always be 8" tall either..

Not understanding why you're trying to make an argument out of it.

unless their going out door vegging to 3-4 feet is not something u wanna do, you'll end up with 6-9 foot plants. Most indica 2x veg size, sativa go 2-3x at end of flowering. thats a lot of lollipopping for a 600W

i would leave them under the MH, those look to me to be 12" pots so doubt 3 would fit well under the T%. buying a new one for it doesn't to me justify the expense. get ur T5 rdy for clones from ur plants IMO.

Looking good!! The MH has kept them nice and compact.

@ShaolinMasterKiller. It has two fixtures. The ballast is dimmable so i don't keep them at 100%. And as for nurtients, i just picked up some vigoro all purpose plant food. I wanted to used the "GO Box" or the fox farm trio pack. But im broke as a joke so, i couldn't get them.

@Red1966. Yea ima keep them under the 600w mh for a couple months and switch to hps. Heard that's how it's supposed to go down.

@kiwipaulie. Thanks, i kinda feel like their a little small but then again, this is my first grow, so i wouldn't know how big there supposed to be.
