Sweet, looks like its gonna be a big machine,i own alot of bikes but for one reason or another never got round to building one of my own with all custom aftermarket parts, allways wanted to build a chopper around an s&s stroker motor.

I posted a few pics of my panhead on this site a few years ago, then got a bit freaked out & took em back down, not many stock panheads left on the road, might post up some pics of the fatboy & buell soon though.

Any chance ya can keep posting pics in this thread showing the progress of the build ? That would be sweet.

Actually that's what I thought until I sat on her...or I should say, since its a Dropseat Rigid frame you sit into to her not on her! :-) that sounded so on so many different levels!! Hahaha...from the ground to the bottom of the seat it has a 19" seat height & she's super light! The whole rolling chassis only weighs like 370lbs!! You should do it, why not?! If ya have the money to spend it could well worth it!

Why'd you get freaked out?

Yea I can do that...it'll be a year or 2 before I get to show any progress on it!

I am usually like this when I pass choppers and Harley's either standing still or broken down. LOL. Nice project though.

Here is my current bike.

Thanks Tony, I owned a Rice Rocket back in 1999, had a 99' Honda CBR600 F4...I didn't care for the Yamaha, the CBR had a better feel to it...

If you don't do regular maintenance anythings bound to breakdown!

You can still do wheelies with a Chopper or a lighter Sportster just not standing up like that! But that's not really the point of a Custom built Harley!

I do know guys that have 113" & 127" Ultima motors that'll smoke a Rice Rocket after you get past the 1/4 mile! But too I do believe it depends more on the individual who operating the machine! And how a bikes geared...

You ever go out to I-75 & Clay & race? Or out to Midland Dragway?

No but I do take my 02 R1 to the Mid-Ohio track for track days. We are more of the twisties then the straight line type of guys. Well I have yet to have anything catch me up to couple of miles let alone 1/4 (Bigger Kaws and Hyabusa's can do it a bit quicker), I have had it to 168mph on I75 for a few miles (sprocket is geared down in front and up in back) so that's the top end now with a speedo-healer corrected. I am more about getting there quick and torque for stand ups, I can easily throttle it up in 1st and 2nd in the higher RPM torque band. I only stand because the balance point is near damn 12 o'clock on R1 and I need to see because I can ride em till my arms hurt.

The Honda's are a rock solid bike you are correct sir, I like the agility and fright train power-band of the R1. I did own a 929 and loved it, then moved to the R1s and fell in love.

Don't get me wrong brother a bike is a bike, and I love em all.

I never got into riding like that, I'd pop a wheelie every so often, but nothin crazy! Before I got rid of it, I was able to do "Indo's"...I had mine up to 185mph, I think that buried the speedo, but I can't remember?! Did that acouple times on M-14, but after I hit those tire tracks in the fast lane, which made me veer into & towards the median wall, I laided off of doin that!! LoL..scared the livin shit out of me!! LoL..

Rite on! I personally felt too crunched up on the R6! I still want a 929!

Ah-men brother. Just bikers are better people in general I think, I mean they are straight up assholes with most people but to me they are honest, don't candy coat things and if you got a problem you are going to hear it and work it out. The way it should be.
