Every day a new man asking the same question about is x good, how is y.
Always the same.

A lot of people are tired.

polleninated: when a male plant fertilizes a female and stop flowering. :wall:

"Mars" got it. I'm not going to turn it on, too risky. A "Heater" LOL, that it is.

I think I'll change half of my CFLs to Red LED's. Or add them to the mix, if there's room.

:peace:
Sorry it was too easy...lol!
I guess It was an hermie!
You should aim for cob light!
Cxb or vero will make your day!
add a few to your blurple panel and I am sure it will increase a lot weight

WOW, cxb are expensive! I like some the vero and cob with 2 switches, veg and bloom.

Maybe they are...
But you could pull 1.4gpw in soil from those...I get 1.2gpw with it for my first grow with cob...and it was my first time with full amendments and only tap water and I had spider mite in week 3 12/12 so less weed of course (I hate those little shit...)
I grow since a looong time with 600hps and I am in 0.7/0.8 range...30/40% more is very nice imo and worth the price
Heat is just a bad memory and using amendments is a real pleasure for my mouth...very very sweet weed and it is like I can fell more taste...but you will need a tightvac to transport it...I haven't mine yesterday...I use 4 plastic bag...but I smelled weed...it was late but the few people I meet watched me weird...lol! (Ok it was cheese from a cut I have since a few months now...and I will never forget my tightvac again!)
But quantity and quality is what you get from good cob...as well as longevity if you run them cool (10 years plus maybe!!?)
20160107_202505.jpg This one of the 5 plants i grew under cxb 3590 3500ºk 36V CD from A to Z (100days 200w 3gl 5 plants 238g + 15g of small buds...all veeery dense...5g bud from hps will look bigger than 5g of cob bud!)
so to get 2.5/3 times the amount you pull now skipp to cob
The plant in the pic was bend pinched and trainned...i never cut or top plants never...i just prepare it for bloom and use the parts i remove to make cuts if i like the plant...

Thanks for the tour. I have to read it a couple times yet.

Right, those lamps that get super hot are dangerous.

mites would be a bummer. Maybe they came with the soil?

next time I'll go 12/12 a lot sooner than 6 months lol.

You pinched the main stem? At 3 weeks?

how close to the sea of green do you keep the cob. It would be worth it for more stink and better taste to me.

It is a scrog...I use a metal screen to help me to fill all the available space!
I put my plants at 180º at about week 3 vegg and I start to twist the main branch to have all the secondary branches growing on the side!
And to do that I pinch between every node and twist 1/4 of turn in the same direction every node!
And when secondary branches are long enough I bend it the same way I bend the main cola...that I always pinch...this way I get an "octopus" like plant...pinching slow the grow of the main cola and let the secondary grow faster (I had bigger colas on secondary then on main one on some plants!)at a moment you even need to pinch the first secondary to keep at same level than the other!
You can keep well spaced cob at 8/10in (@1400mA)

Thaaaaaaanks!!! I like the metal screen idea. I have to figure out the 180° part.

3 weeks?: That must be from grafting and not a seed.

Right now I'm watching for hermy flowers. I underestimated how much it keeps growing after blooming. Amateur bush lol. They seem to like bed time stories

3 weeks from seed is easily accomplished for that size.

A bit late yes but you still can bend a few branches who stretch too much!
No problem for bending and pinching during stretch...
And yes 3 week from seeds or after the third pair of leaves I start to bend and give her the shape I want...to get this at the end20160117_191358.jpg you understand what i meant now?...all the pair grew the same way...just a pinch and a little twist...always in the same direction and you will be able to use all the branches.20160117_191343.jpg

equiangularSpiral4Bug.png equiangularSpiral6Bug.png I get it now. Especially why you twist in the same direction because you don't want them growing back on themselves. Octopus or spiral is better

My girlfriend hate my.cob...she said I talk about it like it was my mistress...lol!

Tell your girlfriend that she can be the light that illuminates your world, if she grows you diamonds, too!

Fair warning; you may find yourself sleeping alone afterwards!

It is because I bought ice-o-bag and I made some ash with leaves ans small buds from a dozen of different strains (from 60/70 plants) that I kept in the freezer since 2/3 years...it was for maybe a third some cheese so the taste is cheesy...!
Sorry for the pic but no cob weed anymore...it is strange how your friends remenber your address as soon as you harvest...lol...and because it was the first ready to smoke so 240g split in 2 120g in a month...I need to slow down a bit...lol! (I only smoke half!)
