are we saying that a seeded bud, busted and tested has more cbd's than a non seeded bud on the same plant? thats interesting fodder
I'm not saying it. Others are passing along info with no proof available. And it's more canabanoids not cbd specifically. But I can't find any info on it.

I am sure if UB wrote it he read it somewhere credible.

I tried last night to find a study I had read last year that, I believe, stated that after testing many plants that had thrown pistils, not one tested as a true male female hermaphrodite but only female pollen producing one, the actual true male/female plant never found. I'm still trying to find it. As I was looking I saw the whole range of theories and falsehoods that this subject is known for. hopefully someday all the theory and conjecture is finally proven or debunked. FYI I'm not saying it does or doesn't happen, still trying to figure it out lol.
There are no answers, dont let it frustrate you looking for one :-)

Why is this so confusing. The plant is capable of changing its hormones to induce male flowers to self preserve under stress. Much of nature is his way.

And a true hermaphrodite plant will have female and male chromosomes just like a human hermaphrodite.

A reversed plant has only female chromosomes.

What is the mystery here. It is not unique in the plant world at all.

These last few pages have been an interesting read.

Last year I had an 88 {f1's from my Jack Carlos Cross, an old local NW Florida stain} that was a full blown hermie. I only had three of the 88's so I saved the pollen and used it on another 88. Will use those seeds, but not the one from the hermie.

I also did a Fall/Winter seed test on last year's seeds. I had two plants that I'm pretty sure were Hurricane Head growing together. One was Bug Topped and the other The Finger. The finger had a cluster of limbs at the base. i didn't notice them until I had chopped, but there was a few male flowers on each of the lower limbs. The Finger was pretty heavily seeded, and there were a few on Bug Topped as well. Will use the Bug Topped seeds to see what they do. But I do have the whole outdoors to spread out in. I won't test them close to any of my better strains.

I wouldn't have the guts to try to find out but don't you wonder what traits might be hidden in the genes of that true hermie?

What if she/he is the most potent best parent of all. And she/he can breed with everyone. Sexing is optional. Lol

I'm not throwing them away. lol. I might pop a few. But I made lots of other seeds last year that I need to test.

This is from one night of working my seed pot.

Well it's my understanding that it is kind of unique in that it's not a male part but a female part that throws female pollen but I could be way wrong

I think when a female grows a stamen it is still a male part. There is a hormone that prohibits the reversing that stops being made. Ethelyne? I think.

But a true hermaphrodite could maybe make regular seeds by itself?

Ive never seen a true hemaphodite in marijuana either, i know what we term as one but they dont breed the genetics on and so its not a true dominant hemaphodite and youd have to rely on some weird recessive trait that dosent fit in with mendel and stuff.

Ive seen nothing proved on any of this stuff, forum knowledge is not hard science.

Had a plant lately with about 50/50 male/female flowers within 10 days of flip and no other plants affected. I sometimes refer to a plant like that as a hermie. Actually, I don!t care if someone calls that a bar stool, that's a hermie!

Yer and id love to see genetic proof its a hermie before you cite it...
