Hermie issue

hi guys, a quick question from a newbie.

im about 2 weeks from harvest and noticed a growth (which from research I now know are pollen sacks) coming out of one of the main buds. Looked really foreign to me as they look like perfect females and I hadnt seen anything like it before. When I (foolishly) touched it to inspect some dust like substance did come out. Now I know I have probably pollinated some or all of the buds due to the room ventilation being pretty good, but my question is how long from pollination until seeds form? would it be safe to finish them off or best to chop them now.

Thanks

J

Those are calyxes and they generally swell with resin in the last couple of weeks. If you had a male or a hermie, you would already have seeds forming that far into flowering. Look down on the nodes for signs of pollen sacs, not in the buds themselves.

they looked exactly like a little bright green bunch of grapes growing out the side of one of the buds, and didnt looks anything like the rest of the bud. I'll check the rest out and see if i can see anything else like it. When i was inspecting it, a dust like substance definitely came out of the little sacks. Is this what you would expect from the calyxes?

so lets say i have pollinated some or all of the crop, how long would it take until the seeds started forming? would it be safe to ride out the next two weeks until harvest?

if you got a hermi ,

and it pollinated your plant but you only got 2 weeks left ,

imo i would harvest now ..

ok i checked all of them and i cannot find anything resembling pollen sacks, or the 'little cluster of grapes" that i saw, either near the nodes or from the buds. can this freaky shit just happen?

did the pics i posted show up for you jimmy ?

it can happen , especially if your growing outdoors

their could be a male plant a mile away and it could pollinate her ,

if your indoors , hell a male pollen sac could of busted some where and got caught in a gust of wind

and you just happen to be outside when that breeze hits you and then you got little pollen particles on you that you brought in your grow room ,

lol thats a long shot , but shit happens ..
