I have a problem and would very much appreciate some advice. I have a sensistar that is a Hermie and it pollinated all my lady's which were two strains but all from seeds. Also I had a faulty timer and 3 weeks before harvest acquired grey mold which now leaves me with no mothers and seeds from the dead females. Should I use the seeds from the crop? None of the seeds are selfies so it came from one of three Hermies which were all the sensi star strain and the other strain is one I created. It is like a lot of work down the drain. When I buy my two new strains I want two with tough immune system, sweet flavor, high yield and 8 weeks to finish. All advice will be very appreciated.

the seeds are garbage. toss them. you take the risk of some not all the seeds herming out. its now in there genes.lol

this happen to me once, i had a 4x8 flood table collapse with loaded with plants 1 week into flower and it stressed some of the plants out so bad that they hermed out and seeded 3 other 4x8 flood tables. whole crop full of seeds. anyways i kept the seeds and grew a bunch outside and a bunch hermed out.

I appreciate the information man. I had some wishful thinking I guess after I saw that herms are used to feminize seeds. I posted this in one other forum and it seems I get contradicting information on this. One told me the breed pollinated by the herm that is my own strainand the herm being a Sensi Star would give me ffeminized seeds and that all females have a hermaphroditic gene. Ed Rosenthal said that stress made it morph and my seeds would be 90-95% female. I used to have so many strains but got pulled over with them taking them to my closest friend in a more cannabis friendly state. Needless to say the seeds from back when that happened were all in marked packages purchased in the early eightys. That hurt bad! I wish I could find someone on here that I could become friends with that had a bunch of seeds they would part with. I used to be very generous in giving people seeds that were supposed to be friends and now are greedy with the breeds I actually gave them for free. Ill never probably go to a cannabis cup and if I generate the breed me and my brother once had that his wife murdered while they were arguing it would be a contender. It was the best breed when it comes to taste. It was the most unique flavor and was a sweet and awesome flavored bud with I guess a skunky beginning flavor that turned sweet in your mouth. I tasted something once that had similar flavor but not as strong of taste. It had an awesome high that was uplifting if taken down between5-6 weeks and 7-8 was a couch lock type. I would trade my left nutt to get her back. It would have made the stoner community very happy to have it as an addition to the pot world. I wonder which strains were used by my belated uncle to get that to even come out in the seed we popped. He had a wide variety he got throughout the eightys including skunk1, northernlilights1ans 5, early pearl, Big Bud, early girl, purple kush or Hindu kush

Is it an actual hermie? Those are really rare, now a plant self pollinating itself is usually what people refer to as a 'hermie'. The seeds will be feminized seeds. Usually self polinating is due to stress, the seed will be female(usually) and have the same chance of selfing as last time. I would figure out what made them decide to pollinate themselves and not blame it on bad genetics

Im going to use your advice since you have been there done that. Do you have any strains in seed form you could come off of?
clone only due to genetics. sorry bro wish i could.

why don't order some seeds? Attitude seeds can get to you in 10 days. order many times threw them.

my plants hermed to begin with from stress.

i have had naturally hermed plants started from seed outside before but never kept them around to test whether or not the seeds were fem.

only tested hermed seeds from a plant that got stressed.

The herm trait can be worked out over a period of time. However it takes "time", and a hell of allot of patience. Which I don't have. lol I just hit my ladies with Colloidal Silver causing them to herm "feminized pollen" and skip that trait all together. ;) Sure glad as hell I didn't rip this herm up.. haha :) Revised Power Pie avitar.JPG
i heard the same thing about hermed plants making fem seeds but i tried it and like i said a lot of the plants hermed out

CS is a product breeders use to force 1 of the female cannabis plants branches to show "feminized" pollen. So you can dust the same plant, or a tottaly different strain with its pollen resultying in a cross or backcross creating "fem" seeds. It can also be drank. allot of older people would drink that shit back in the day.. ;) https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=2&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0CEcQFjAB&url=http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2009/02/07/new-guidelines-released-for-safe-usage-of-colloidal-silver-supplements.aspx&ei=91pVU9ubNIebygGGhYGQAg&usg=AFQjCNFgNSq8HgxkFCB8xISHGhJELtJHLQ&bvm=bv.65058239,d.aWc

I really appreciate all the advice you guys have shared with me on here. Sometimes just hearing views from fellow hobbyists if you will gives me a new way to look at things. Im pretty sure all female breeds have at least carry the Hermie gene for survival reasons. After further thought and from my new found advisers I am trying the seeds that were pollinated by the sensi star herm as it is was a very stable mother plant the seeds came out of. I usually do not have my lady's going through the stress they went through this last time and I also have another set of seeds I got a hold of from a strain I know well. Im going to bleach my room first that grey mold screwed everything up.

Considering your situation I would be looking for an easier grow ...and go for some autoflowers, many around that will more than meet your requirements

The difficulty is no problem and I do not have access to auto flowering strains and have never had the pleasure to grow them. I however am going to pick up at least Two new strains that are sweet flavored . I want no longer than a 9 week flowering plant that has a pretty decent yield.
