What the government has done to me? nothing terrible, I haven't been a victim or anything like many others have been victims to governments from the dawn of civilization up until now. In all fairness I do avoid them like the evil lifeblood suckers they are and never take any benifits or unemployment or loans or entitlements or anything like that. That's just fine, they will continue to do jack shit for me and I will continue to do the same for them, thats just how I like it.
I hope they continue to leave me alone.
Well they grabbed my balls everytime I board an aircraft. THey threaten my life with possibility that I could be busted for growing. Everyti me I get pulled over and seaarched fior going 3 mph over I am searched without consenst. When i have been nmugged at gunpoint ir ny car stolen they try to interagate me instead of looking for the criminal they try to get me on something.
I have six years collage education. I'm 30 years old, I worked in the emergency rooms seeing mental health patients on medicaid for the government where they payed me and others my age half of what the previous generation made and gave that generation early retirement so they could bring the young people in cheap. I then started working in IT as a system administrator where they have done the exact same thing so essentially I got screwed by the private sector the same as the government. At least the private sector actually has employees that care about their company, the team, and their services...
Being only 30, in school we had columbine happen, this caused police to start being in every school and being rebelious teens we got caught smoking pot and things like that. I saw many kids have their lives ruined by this.
Working in the ER in mental health crisis I often saw the cps take kids away from perfectly deserving parents. I heard the peoples stories day in and day out. The hardships of flint and detroit ghetto are not a day in the park. I have seen many lives ruined and as a direct result of government invtervention on many occasions...

I worked during a mental health crisis as well when Reagan emptied out the psych wards because government was TOO big. Most of those people ended up in local jails

well its much different these days..a lot still end up in jail either way...your talking about when they ended those horrible torture camps.....today...go to the ER drunk or say your suicidal and you get a place to stay right away...even if you do it every night cause your a whiney attention seeking borderline, you can just live at "crisis homes"

I Would Hope CPS looks into Parents who show up At the Hospital with mental health issues

I was just using it as an example and yes I had heard the farms having their water cut off used as a talking point on the news or radio and I am admittedly not that well studied on the subject as I usually try to make sure I am on issues I express my own thoughts on.
You raise a good point that without govt infistructure these communites would not have existed in the first place-
I see the different angles on this- interesting talking point although it's not my own and you raised a very valid counter point.

It's a lot more complicated then that.
What? He doesn't want to abolish public education at all, he wants to get the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT out of education and wants to get rid of the DoE because since it's inception students have gotten progressively less educated.

i had to press like on one of your posts.
in any case, it is not as simple as hannity makes it out to be. first of all, as you acknowledged, the land would be barren if not for the enormous infrastructure projects undertaken by the big bad government.
secondly, the water shortages only effect the west part of the valley. other parts of the valley have an overabundance of water and sell it to some of the farms that got in line for the water too late.
third, most of these farms complaining about the water shortage are huge mega-corporations who exploit illegal labor for much of their production.
fourth, most of these farms get water anyway, but sell it to municipalities for a bigger profit than they would get farming the land.
finally, to turn on the water would lead to a collapse of the food chain and put fishermen up north out of business, as well as the industries that do business with them (the processors, the drivers, etc).
say we did turn on the water. next thing you would hear is hannity talking about how government is putting fishermen out of business. it's a great talking point for that reason.
in any case, shame on you for echoing that tired old canard, but props for acknowledging that you need to study up on the issue. i have driven through there many, many times and have gained an interest in the topic. it is not as simple an issue as the signs on the freeway would have you believe.

If Ron Paul makes that a campaign promise, I'll vote for him on that alone. I just hope he goes through with it. I'm not sending my kids to public or private school. Mine are being home schooled. One less tax to pay. Teachers are whiny bitches who lie anyway. They bitch if they got more pay and more funding, kids would learn more. It's been proven false time and time again. If a kid is an idiot, no money for the latest teaching method will make it smarter. I say bring it on!

I passed the CBEST and all other qualifications a teacher needs. I've taught at dozens of public schools. That makes me more than qualified.
