Help with rot

Hello,

I just started a new batch of plants in 5 gallon DWC. Last week I transplanted the 2 week old plants into my 5 gallon buckets and then promptly has issues with the water temps hitting nearly 90 degrees and my air cutting out for an unknown length of time, at least a few hours. I was not at all surprised when this caused a case of rot.

Since then I have gotten my water temps to sit consistently at 67 and I have had a steady air flow of 1030 GPH (65 Liters per minute) split between four 5 gallon buckets. I've also been using Voodoo Juice and Hydroguard in my nutrient mixture to introduce beneficial bacteria. Saturday night I washed the buckets, air lines and air stones which I expected would resolve the issue. However after 24 hours the dark brown slimy stuff is clearly getting worse on the roots and I'm not sure why since I've corrected all of the issues I know of that lead to rot and have created what I understand should be a toxic environment for the rot.

The only issue I have been fighting that wasn't resolved was PH swings, every day my PH climbs a full point and I have to drop it back down, but I don't think this would cause the rot, more likely the rot is causing the swing. I haven't used H2O2 because it's just treating the symptom not the cause and is a losing battle that I don't want to deal with as the bacteria I'm using should be fixing this...

I have some Bushdoctor Microbe Brew that I haven't been using since I got the Voodoo Juice, maybe I'll start adding that again.

i liked sterile for my dwc's. dutchmaster zone worked well for me.

and yes, rot will cause pH issues.

I had a similar issue with my initial rdwc run. I had the water temps too high at first. IMO, you need to kill the pythium, then treat w/ hydroguard. The issue is, again, imo that the pythium is widespread in the system and hydroguard can't keep up with what's in there right now. I ran h2o2 through my system, killed everything, and then after a couple days when the h202 evaporated, I added hydroguard and kept the water temps in the mid 60's. No more rot issues for the rest of the grow.

Thanks this is pretty much what I've done, sterilized everything with h202, switched to clean water w/o nutes, and h202 42ml per 5 gal bucket. After 24 hours the roots are white and the rot appears gone. I'll add another 42ml tonight and again tomorrow then go back to nutes Saturday morning. I also picked up some Zone to add to my mixture.

I did have one plant that appears to have had a negative reaction to the H202 but it doesn't look like anything that will kill the plant. It's got a couple spots on it's leaves that appear to have dried out and died, causing the rest of the leaf to kind of deform around the spot.
