Help with Nutrients, Botanicare vs Jacks?

DAN_6281.JPG DAN_6288.JPG Jack's Classic &Bloom product. I am using Botanicare's Kind Expert Rockwool program. I have to change out 550 Gal a week so I am curious as per the results others are getting.
Also what the formulas are.
I am using 3x6 Botanicare trays with their 50 gal EZ Drain Rezs.
I have also been considering HTH Shock & Swim #3 vs. Clear Rez.
Any thoughts would help.

I've used Jacks blossom booster, but all of its nitrogen isn't nitrate. Only half is, not really ideal for hydro. Not saying it won't work.

It'd be cheaper to mix your own nutrients, and you could cater to your needs. Hydrobuddy is awesome for this. http://scienceinhydroponics.com/

I'm still beginning mixing my own so I'm no expert.

I use hth shock, would never think of purchasing clear rez. Never used it in ebb and flow. Wear a mask and gloves when your mixing.

RAW Nutrients are highly recommended, they have a great line covering everything you could possibly need for flawless hydro.

Google raw solubles if you want more info.

To the OP, that's a very nice grow you have there. Subbed ;)

Hey jijiandfarmgang, thank for the link this seems like a fantastic program. I have been wondering if there was something like this out there! I truly want to have exact control of my nutrient programs and this might be the trick. Now to find all of the components to be assured of the proper ppm.
Thanks again, I am finding this site to offer a lot of great information. Thanks to all the members.

Hydrobuddy and raw salts is the a good way to go once you figure out how to do it.

if u want a complete, customisable and high quality hydro nutrients I highly recommand GH 3part flora series.I use it in 4x8 ebb flow with hydroton along with some fulvic as ph down and potassium silicate as ph up. Using 10 ppm RO WATER without any additive.

gh flora series pro:
100% soluble and clean
90%+ nitrogen is derived from nitrate
has the right ratio of micro
highly bio available, every micro are EDTA chelated, has some iron EDHHA
buffed for ph stabilization
no salt build up(if used correctly obv)
CHEAP!!

flora cons:
3 part to mix

JACKS HYDRO+CALCIUM NITRATE is a very good and cheap alternative but less customizable and the iron to manganese ratiois definetely too low so it tend to produce a manganese deficiency later stage of growth.

Not to confuse the op, but I'm sure Churchhaze means plain ole food grade salts from a reputable company such as Haifa or Yara. Not to be confused with the previously mentioned RAW nutrients.

botanicare is great..been using it for years in my soil grows..sweet sweet bud..but with. ant nute, you gotta weed through the bullshit, but p.b.p. grow and bloom, calmag, and blast off work wonders for me..
never used jacks, but a friend does, and we both grow a few of the same strains..he gave me a sample of our blue dream..hus huds with jacks were awesome looking,a little denser, but mine were sweeter, and had a nicer scent..buzz was the same imo..
jacks for ease of use and cheapness, botanicare for the extra regal touch..

Plants don't look too healthy and you won't really get too much off a single stalked plant.
They should look more vigorous being that they are in hydro

Botanicare - Lazy man's formula
550ml Pure Blend Pro Grow/Bloom
250ml Cal/Mag
180ml Liquid Karma

Mix together in jug, add to water. PH for me comes out at 5.9 with plain tap water so I don't fuck with the PH. Now take the leftover nutes and mix it with water. Put it in the fridge with big letters that say "Iced Tea". Now when your buddy comes over and asks for a glass of tea, say "sure" and get your camera out.

Why Botanicare? I'd have to say the number one reason is taste. The flavor is right there with old school organic soil. It's pretty fucking easy to use too!
