help with nutrient questions.

i have a thread on the cfl sub form . and am new to growing indoors. i have a plant that is 14 days old . i really would like to know how often to water and how often to use nutes during veg. or if you should use nutes during veg. should i use 1/4 strength at first . i have watered once already wih 1/4 mix of nutes. just really nervous to srew things up. here is a pic of it at 13 days old , tell me what u think and buy the size of her how to water...... ps i do know most plants need water when dirt is dry.

also i live in canada and its harder to find good nutes. i have 202020 at first

That looks a little young to have nutes. 1 wait until 3-4 weeks before adding nutes, on the other hand 1/4 strengh once a week is fine to start with.

your nutes are 20.20.20? thats a little strong. your plant looks nice and healthy tho bud, leave the nutes out for 2 weeks and then consider it. try 2 find nutes with an NPK of 8.2.6. thats about right my friend

check ur soil bag in case it has nutes in it like the guys said at that age u dont really need nutes, i went around 4/5 weeks without feeding, watering is a little more difficult to explain but the basic rule of thumb is water the pot till sum runs out then feel the weight of the pot after that just lift the pot and when it feels light do it again, for my (mature) plants this is around every 3rd day, stick ur finger in the soil to test as well, if its dry around 2 to 3' down its gaunna need watered, dont worry about the top of the soil drying out, thats gaunna happen coz its under lights and a fan( not every one agrees with this watering method but it works for me and is the most common way to do it, the roots do need to dry to take oxygen in)

very helpfull guys. i am definitly going to take ur advise. so u water it till it comes out the bottom? of the pot? semms alot to me. but fill me in more . any more help is great . i love to learn lots so keep it coming! ps and no my soil has no nutes in it. it is equal to fox farm soil. but from canada

if you wanna learn buy a book called marijuana horticulture by Jorge Cervantes, excelent book i read it when im on the john. peace

what size of pots are you using? the easiest way to water with a only little run off from the pot ,and not flood the fuckin house out. is to get a bucket of water , thats of course been standing for at least 24 hours and is a nice temperature, and feed ur plant a little at a time, say feed each plant a pint and then walk away for 5 mins come back and do the same again, move it down to half a pint and continue until a little bit runs out the pot and onto the drip tray/saucer. DO NOT BUY A MOISTURE METER, they are SHIT. unreliable and not worth a damn. spend the money on a reliable ph meter.
