Help with LED's.

Absolutely build more fixtures. One large one like that will be a headache you can't even imagine.

if i get 10 strips , i'll go with 5or6 3000k and 4 or 5 5000k strips and that should be a "full spectrum" , correct ? (room is for flower)

I built two lights that each pull 250W @ 100% power. Total cost was right around $500 ($250 each)

No, "full spectrum" is just marketing bs. No need to mix color temperatures, mixing 3000k and 5000k will just give you around 4000k. Most are using 3000k or 3500k for veg and flower. I'd go 2700k or 3000k for just flower.

Just to be clear, when I say "100% power" I mean that the potentiometers I have for dimming are at 100%. It's usually not advised to have the pots built into the driver maxed out so, when you build it, you will want to set your potentiometer to 100%. Then put a meter on the driver and adjust the built-in pots on the driver to the max output that can be safely used by the driver, or the max you want to run your lights at (whichever is lower).

ok guys, trigger is 3/4 pulled.... i couldnt resist the strips so i went with a meijiu pre built .... im convinced two of these will easily cover a 10x6.

i feel like i can spread these strips out even more then they already are to provide a better spread if i need to. its easy to take apart , so i may just do that.....

1100 usd for the lm301b.....1300 for the lm301h. i got the h.

going into this setup , my main thing was getting lm301b or h diodes. second factor was actual watts, next was actual diode count and then there was space coverage which was the biggest hold up on this purchase.

I now know from experience that the 480watt hlg 550 is plenty enough light to replace a 1k hps but its kinda small. Its footprint is lacking size imo. It has about 1100 diodes running 480 watts max. Knowing that , i did more research and decided strips spread the light out a litle better and i really needed 4x6' vs 4x4' (every single big led is based off a 4x4 footprint so it was kinda hard to come up with a light for a 4x6)
So this light has about 2000 diodes and 650 watts so im assuming two of them will light up my 10x6 with ease. I may have to spread the strips out to get better coverage out of um but i like it overall.....

300 watts on left, 260 watts on right or about 25 wpsf

Mejui 650 a8 update: Flowers are double the size as normal. Temps been low for leds, 69f nightime, 80f ish daytime. Eating a bit more then normal.
The overall spread of the 1200 watts is fuckin great! there is not one sq/inch in a 5'x10' tent of "dimmer then middle" The 600 watts will easily replace a 1k.
Two major differences between hps and led in my world@ week 6 after flip: The flowers are a lot bigger then the hps. The are way less visible trichs with the led.
Im only on week 6 of flowering so my "test" is not accurate. This is just what im noticing so far... any possible reasons i may be seeing less trichs ?
