Help with IBS

Hello everyone! I have found that smoking pot helps me a lot with my irritable bowel syndrome. I was wondering if anyone else has Ibs and if marijuana gives them relief. To me, my stomach stops aching and cramping immediately after smoking. I will occasionally get nauseous and it gets rid of that immediately as well. Any other similar stories or people suffering?

I'm sure you're not the only one. Nausea was one of the first symptoms that medical cannabis was found to alleviate. Sure as hell helped me when I had cancer in 1976.

For sure. I have Ulcerative Colitis. Smoking definitely helps. I was to the point of getting i.v medication every month, Immunosuppressant's, anti-inflammatory drugs, the whole nine. These drugs had bad side-effects and even increased my odds of getting lymphoma. The worst part is that they weren't helping! Started smoking again and it all but cured me.

It showed up earlier in my life after I first quit smoking and then went away after starting again, It didn't take me long to realize and put two and two together.

I was diagnosed with ibs back when I was a kid. This all went away when I was a teenager because I started smoking. But later, in my late 20's, I was forced to quit smoking due to different situations and it all came back, but much worse. I was diagnosed with UC and struggled with it for over 6 years. I had to do something, so I went all in. I finally started smoking again and it all but went away. I'm a smoker for life, seriously, there's no going back. I'm in an "unfriendly" state too, its still very much illegal and I'm risking my job every day but there were no more options. It was almost life or death at the point I was at.

So, yes. Smoking definitely helps with any type of bowel problems

I have horrible IBS and my problems have greatly reduced since starting mmj. Especially with high CBD strains.

I have ulcerative colitis also and MMJ has had a lot of positive effects for me. When I was diagnosed I was NPO and had a PICC line put through for 3 weeks, and afterwards most foods I ate would be rough. MMJ helped with appetite stimulation, also the anxiety that comes with having an autoimmune disease, as well as the cramps and arthritis that decided to take a long, and everything else in between that happens with an IBS related disease.

Good luck and best wishes to all you fellow Chronies/UCers/IBSers! What a shitty disease. ;)

it helps my wife saverly just smoking it ! She eats it too and hasnt had to take a stomach pill in over a year and half. Way different world for her. Now she likes to go out. Before she didnt. We would always have to stop at a resturant or gas station for her to get sick and undress from being so hot . She also changed diet and takes probiotics and a few supplements too. No more migrains either for her ! woot

I smoke for quick relief from my symptoms, but the oil helps even more long term. Mine seems to be brought on by stress even more than diet. I couldn't cope without my cannabis! I am growing some Quin N Tonic, a high cbd, low thc indica. I am hoping that it will do even a better job of soothing my symptoms. People who don't have IBS really can't imagine the pain we go through. Worse than labor pains.

Well i dont know what labour pains feel like but i sure do know what your talking about. I myself suffer from IBS and the only thing that helps is my AK47. Love her to death. Got a small grow in my backyard with 5 plants. Good luck with your grow and ur IBS.

GHS's Chemdog has to be the best medicine I have found for my ibs. One pheno in particular with almost a dog-shit odour and the best taste in the world beats everything else by a country mile.
Cheese Candy by delicious seeds I have found very effective also, whereas I found their Cotton Candy totally ineffective for all my symptoms.Wrecked my head though.
Hope that may help someone.
