help with ec reading

got a ec /ph/temp metter my ph is saying 5.8 ph thats ok for clay but my ec is 0.89 is this to low or to high do not no, book no help what so ever.

what do u mean clay , what are u testing

Hydroleca 8-16MM clay its my ec i need to get right the reading now is 0.89

will it let you check ppm too? thats a good way to double check..
