Help with container size? And everything else

Currently trying to get started on a 3'x6''-wide 8'' long room. Will be using 1000 watts on a 6'' track. Total height to ceiling is probably around 7''. Kind of a newbie to the whole indoor scene and was just looking for some advice on container size , suggested plant size before flowering....etc...I havent been on the site for quite awhile so was hoping for some good advice. Thanks guys.

Soil or hydro?
Lots of little plants or a few big ones (If a legal MMJ grow, you may have a plant count limit)
Running perpetual or full cycle?
Clones or seeds? (this can come down to cost, clones can be much cheaper if making your own)

Sorry my bad i guess i left out some info, but i'll be doing soil. Right now i got eleven clones that will need transplanted into their final pot size in about two weeks. Perpetual is the eventual goal, i have a small veg room that i can handle no prob. Ive run it alot for outside purposes. But got no experience at finishing inside. So as for how many plants and size im hoping you guys can lead me in the right direction. But first follow through will probably just be those eleven.

Guess i should also say the hood is air cooled 6'' what size fan would i need to generate good exhaust from a room this size and should i have more then one exhaust. And what size intake? I really dont think heat will be an issue with the coming seasons but i was wanting to make sure they got adequate fresh air.

For the most part, bigger pots will give you bigger yields per plant (all other things being equal). You got lots of headroom, but the light will only cover a portion of that footprint (maybe 3x4 or 3x5). You might be able to squeeze 5 gallon pots in there.

Smaller pots will allow you to veg more plants for less time, but you will probably need to water more frequently. This is not necessarily a bad thing if you are getting started, since people tend to over water when first getting started. Since you already have that many clones, just do a short veg with smaller pots, maybe 2-3 gallon (if they will fit). You wont need to do much training since your space is more suited for vertical growth if you have 11 plants in there.

A rule of thumb on ventilation would be 2x your exhaust. Not 2x6" intakes, but a 12" intake or equivalent.

I thought if i used the track with the light i would be able to cover to the whole area? Or should i just use two lights. Would you suggest topping them or letting them go. Most generally i top my plants but was wondering if they would perform better indoors not being topped.

With that many, you don't need to top much. I have no experience with light movers

The light mover is there to keep u from having to turn plants nothing more

So you think two lights would work better in an area like this vs the light mover. I have no problem with running two lights vs the light mover if it would be alot more beneficial.

Light + root + nutes = bud size and quality
Also if u are useing air cooled lights u can add 6"-8" of head room

Should really do the research on airpots.... Total game changer

Yea ive used the air pots before outside. They do seem to make a difference.

when you say the one foot of clearance at the end, by using the air cooled hood and track can i cut the 6-8 inches from this you mentioned or did you take that into consideration.

With air cooled u can get as close as 5 inch.... Not cooled u want about a foot

Air pots make the root grow sideways an straight ish then trimms at edge of pot where as normal pots root bind in the bottom... U can turn all ur dirt to root in airpot specially if u cover the top of dirt with gravel type material

would two lights be better then a track mover, i been thinking about side lighting with t-5's but i only have 3' 8'' now on width and hated to steal any additional room. I got a good understanding how the air pots work, do you use them daemon?

I have but they need to be replaced ( the ex felt that smashing them would be a good idea) had a mother plant in a 5 gal for 8 months no problem

More light better crop...that light mover will stretch the light footprint (4x4 lightspace turns to 4x8 its there to make 1 light do the job of 2 for those to broke / cheep to run as much as needed....if u put 2 in u will have proper coverage....

Could use the t5s to side light lower branches when plant gets bigger would be very useful and not steal from plant room

You think running another 1000 watt vs the track would make a much of a difference in the end result. Im asking cause i haven't got any experience with this to really know which out weighs the other in the final product.

Thats what i was thinking but wasnt sure if i had the room and still be two plant wide
