hi everyone. i was just wondering if there are any wax makers that have had their fair share of pushing butane thru. i was wondering if it's better to push smaller tubes ie: 1'x1.5" tubes vs 2'x1.5" tubes. is it better to run small batches? or is it worth it to stuff a longer tube? and use more butane? which do you find more efficient? which do you like better? i've been running 1ft x 2" diameter glass tubes using 2 cans per tube. and after running a case of butane and 6 tubes, i would end up with about roughly an ounce of wax after purging. but i am just wondering if my runs are similar or completely different to other ppl. and if ppl are getting more product running smaller batches with fewer cans. tbh i feel like i mite be using more butane than i should. but i'd like to find a good size tube for 1 can of butane, that way i dont feel like i am wasting a half can for nothing. if there is a thread already and has answered this question please send me the link! thx everyone for their time and responses.

Do you have any examples of how you pack your tube before we throw out the tube. I've wasted solvent and failed to use enough solvent all on the same tube with the same amount of solvent. Also what are you running? nugs, larf, crystaly machine mulch, fan leaf, cbd roots and wood? I've mashed a half pound of nugs in one of those 2 foot long tubes that are an inch and a halfish diameter inside and will get around 2 ounces with way less work. I'm not saying you should get my tube or piledriver pack but im just saying your leaving us with allot of missing plot points is all, and that makes you vulnerable to funky advice n hard to swallow statements like mine that arn't helpful.

I favor a 24 inch tube, with an inner diameter of 1.1 inches.

one can per tube/blast

I reblast the tubes the next day, one more can.

the smaller the inner. Diameter, the more effective the butane rinse

bigger tubes are easier to pack/unpack . Yet require a twirling motion to make sure the butane runs across everything in the tube

yeah im running fine trim. i trim fan leaves off, and then i do a fine trim after it dries to where the stem breaks but doesnt split u hear a crack. that's the trim i am using and small popcorn nugs. i also pack it as much as i can with a packer, something blunt like 1" diameter. and 6 tubes, and 12 cans of butane later i will alas end up with an ounce of wax. so do u guys favor the longer tubes?? and with 2 ft, are u guys using 2 butane cans? or just 1?

so the next day u blast them again with another can, so is it really 2 cans? i mean the next day do u get a fair amount? worth it to do another can? why not just run 2 cans on a 2ft?

I prefer tubes around an inch. Smaller is a pain to pack and unpack. Larger is harder to pack evenly, so that the butane doesn't just find the easy way through.

Running 12, 24, and 36" tubes, I got the most utility out of the 36, second most out of the 12", for the size loads we typically run.

I use about a can per foot, using a 1" tube.

You might be packing too tight for flow hence your gravity saturating to get drippage via many cans. I don't think my pack till your hands bleed would work if I didn't vac the tube. I throw about 700ml at a 2 ft tube, 3ft and im going to break it for sure. 700ml is meh about 2 can's no? i'll run that and get about 500ml back, then leave the tubes standing for 12 hours and vac again to get the last 150ml for edibles. Im a solvent recovery fiend so im really after my missing 200ml, getting a medible yield next day is just a bonus. If your not down with recovery or a medible yield then I wouldn't bother trying to run again for dabbables but I remember I use to and there would be that day id run out of oil and have to reach for the stuff that dabs like sucking a used popsickle stick.
