So I have a problem with my bho. Use fresh 1/4 pound of sour diesel. Ran material thro a glass tube with vector tain. Lets sit and wipwiped it for 15-30mins. Then out on heat in my vacum chamber for 48hr at temp of
105-125. Didt touch at all for that time. Checked every 6-8hr let air back in and re vacuumed.

It has come out as a sappy n lafy taffy texture. Would posr pics but site not leting me via phone. Live at 3000-3600 ft above sea lvl. Vac presure at 25-27h. Color of oil is dark amber wen condensed wen spread is straight amber. Pls help cant get shatter or wax. Just pools up in different places on slik pad

I'm thinking you didn't get a stable consistency because your temperatures were not consistent throughout the 48 hours you left it.
It should have been held constant at 100f-110f.
Weird that your end product is dark because you said you used fresh material... How far along was the plant, were the trichomes totally amber ?

I don't doubt it's potent, but what most everyone is concerned with is color and consistency for whatever reason.
I would think it would have turned into shatter after that long in the vac, did you dewax it?

What is de wax. This is only my 4th go. First batch was stil full of tain. Second was a shatter consistency and third was Carmel like

3 runs on the same material?
Dewaxing is when you dissolve your extract in an alcohol and place it in the freezer for 24
Hours, you will see the waxes drop out of the solution. Once that's happened you can pour the solution into a coffee filter to remove the waxes, doing this should turn your taffy into shatter and make it much smoother to smoke.

Some strains are just darker than others. Flowering time, material age (post harvest) are factors. Some of the dankest herb makes for dark shatte / sap, it be what it be imo.

I never grind my material if it hasn't been cured.
If your grinding your bud that would be the only thing I can think of that would cause chlorophyll to get leached.
Maybe next run just try and break it up by hand, your extract looks like it's full of waxes and whipping isn't gonna help it.
If your running your material twice you should definitely winterize it

I feel mildly retarded after reading this.... SMH I'm about to give up on RIU entirely. So many bright minds moved on and I feel like myself and a very select few are left behind to teach remedial classes..... :/ feezing and proper unbleached filtera will allow a grind to process without GREEN. Furthermore I'm seeing brown, not green in op's pics. ;)

I don't grind my material when I run it so I'm not gonna comment, but with all due respect I've never learned anything from you.
Your right about that brown color in the picture but I'm thinking that's just because the picture is so dark, maybe superkush could take a better picture.
Also I'm pretty sure the amount of coffee filters makes no difference to color of the end product, all it does is keep the plant matter out.

I grind it to a dust and i have been a main person in the C&E section when the whole BHO craze started

Blunter... poor child, it's not the # of filters but the micron. Unbleached vs bleached.....

You talk big but book smarts are detectable. More pics and less dick swinging probably would help your case.
