ya know what would work is a bloom boost type product that's mostly K and some P and zero N during flowering to get the K up a wee bit

but the K needs to the the highest number of the 3 on the bottle and no or very very little N

if you have something like that it would work well

@im4satori do you think this could work instead of epsom salts?

Bio Nova MgO-10 Magnesium 250ml – Liquid magnesium fertilizer 10%
Bio Nova MgO-10 contains 10%Magnesium.

One of the elements that is indispensable in BIO NOVA’s line of liquid mineral fertilizers is magnesium. Magnesium forms the reactive nuclei in the chlorophyll, which converts light energy into chemical energy (ATP and ADP).

A deficiency of magnesium manifests itself in chlorosis (slight de-colourisation) between the nerves of old leaves and also an early dropping of leaves.

An excess results into an ill-growing crop and small leaves.

This product has the same characteristics as the other liquid mineral fertilizers offered by BIO NOVA:

  • Bio Nova MgO 10 works very fast.
  • Bio Nova MgO 10 is economic and does not contain excess ingredients.
A dosage of 1:1000 increases the total amount of Mg by 2 mmol.

DOSAGE:

In case of deficiencies add 25-100 ml per 100 litres of nutrient solution.
Note that when you are already using one of BIO NOVA’s main fertilizers a supplement of magnesium is not necessary

bloom
per gallon full strength

7mls part A
7mls part B
3mls P/K boost
1/4 tsp Epsom salt

that actually looks real good

close to the GHfloranova mix ratios

the p/k boost doesn't really work well for veg cuz theres no need for all that P during veg

the best I could do was

veg per gallon full strength

8mls part A
8mls part B
1mls P/K boost
1/4 tsp Epsom

that's a bit more P than required for veg but it does help get the K up at least a little

gh maxibloom and maxi grow is good stuff

some people use the maxibloom by itself but my personal preference is to have more N in my mix

I would mix
full strength per gallon

4 grams maxi bloom per gallon
4 mls part A (4-0-1)
1/8 tsp Epsom (0.5 grams )

using less of part A as you get further into bloom
for example

week 1 thru 4 12/12
4 grams maxi
4mls part A
1/8 tsp epsom

week 5 thru 7
4 grams maxi
2 mls part A
1/8 tsp Epsom

week 8 &9
4 grams maxi only

you may get away without needing the Epsom salt...maybe! but it would be nice to have it

for your future

I would highly recommend the maxigrow and maxibloom

I prefer to mix it 50/50 for bloom

like this
full strength per gallon

for veg
4 to 6 grams maxi grow

first 6 weeks of 12/12 (50/50)
2 to 3 grams maxigrow
2 to 3 grams maxibloom

last 3 weeks of 12/12
4 to 6 grams maxibloom

using the maxi stuff you wont need calmag or Epsom or anything other than the 2 part...grow and bloom

good stuff

some peeps use up to 7 grams per gallon (total/combined) but I prefer to feed and recommend a light feed or lower/safe EC/PPM with fewer issues with lockout and salt build up,

if you find the 4 grams (total) isn't enough inch it up a bit but I wouldn't go over 6grams max (total)

im terrible at diagnosing bugs so don't look to me for resolving bug related issues if that be it

I don't see it, but likely I wouldn't I guess lol

as for the lucas formula

the maxibloom alone is very close to what the lucas formula ratios are

like I said some peeps run it alone but I prefer more N than what lucas provides, I prefer Hoagland over lucas

@thatspud what would you use to treat for insects?
imo
if its something that wont cause damage to your plants I don't see the harm either way but it would be nice to know for sure so your not chasing something that's not there

but again, im not the best guy to talk about bugs, im only prone to a couple types in my area so I don't have much experience with insect or pest diagnosis
