HELP! Newbie grower with closet grow!

Hey all!
I am a rookie grower and new to the site. I was looking for a little help.
I have three plants that sprouted from some seeds that I curiously germinated. They have grown to be about 8 inches tall with vibrant green leafs. Strong stems and pungent aroma. After doing some research, they appear to be female.
I have them under a 600watt MH light that a buddy happened to leave during a move of apartments.
One immediate concern are the discolored bottom leaves seen one of the pics. If anyone has suggestions as to what my next move should be, please feel free to respond.

Like I said, I'm new to the forums and uninformed on posting etiquette

I'm my experience my first sets of leaves usually dies out too. As long as they stays healthy...I wouldn't worry too much about it unless it starts to spread upward. Your pictures looks to be just the lower leaves that are yellowing.

What soil are you using, have you fed them anything yet?
Thanks for the reply!

I am currently using Fox Farm Ocean Forest. I read up on it and it seems to be an exceptional product.
As for having fed them, I haven't fed them anything yet. I wanted a bit more advice as far as what nuts I should provide my plants with.

Thanks!

Thanks for the heads up!
So far the yellowing has stayed in the bottom two leaves and has not spread upward.
Would you happen to have a good source that gives descriptions of leave discoloration and what the causes are?

I started off just like u did. FFOF and the FF trio nutrients. Now a days I do still use the FFOF soil and veg them for a month and feed with just plain water every week. The nutes in the soil is enough in my opinion. For 12/12 I use jacks classics in the picture below. Cheap, simple and reliable. It works well for me. I don't get the fattest nugs or the biggest yield but it sure is potent. Good luck on your grow adventure.

Yaa man, sounds good.
I'll look in to the Jack's classic.

How did you like the FF trio nuts?
I've looked in to them and I'm willing to spend the money but I can use a second opinion.

FF trio nutes in my opinion is a good product. Grow big and tiger bloom are very concento so a little goes a long way. I find that Big bloom is very simple to use. I always do a teaspoon per gallon and I'm good.

3rd week in veg FF ocean forest using nothing but plain water. Still working on LSTing / topping getting her ready to transplant into her final 3 gallon pot. Remember to always have fun with your run. Mistakes is the best teacher if you learn from it.

Thank you very much to all that have replied to my thread.
I really appreciate all of the info everyone has given so far. It has been very useful.
Really feelin the love from the rollitup community.!

I'll keep you all posted as my grow progresses. If I have any questions or issues I'll be sure to ask :D

How's it goin everyone?!
Just up late and I thought I'd just share my thoughts a little.

So today will be the end of week 3 of my plants being under the 600 watt MH light. They have taken very well to the light and 16/8 light cycle.
Before being under the light, I had them sitting by my window. Since putting them under a controlled light source, they have grown taller and the leaves bigger. The stem is getting even stronger as is the aroma. Even the leave discoloration has stopped!

Like I said in my first post, this was all by accident. I wasnt expecting a few seeds to grow like this. Still, I am excited!

Also!
I'm still unsure of the sex of the plants, so I am waiting patiently for any signs of them being females. does anyone know when I should expect signs of sex?

Earlier I was going through a few pictures and I found one of my plants as seedlings. Luckily, the pictures have dates on them. Now I know exactly when I started the grow. I wish I had started keeping track since the beginning but It's all a learning experience at this point.

Below I posted a pic of my little seedling baby and some updated pics so y'all can take a look.

I appreciate the feed back :D

Enjoy!
