got my first jillybean growing for a month now...all the fan leaves looking healthy except the new shoots on top of every stems are ackwardly growing abnormal, the feel of the leaves are dry, crunchy and curling up. so it tends not to grow any taller. would this be a deficiency of any sort?

Yes it would be..... deformed new growth is usually a micro-nutrient issue, probably caused by a ph issue. In order to get any more exact than that, can you provide some info, pics and the usual details?

I would start by ensuring you have the proper PH. PH fluctuations can def create funky growth and make for some weird looking leaves. Make your first plan of action a soil leaching. Leach the soil with properly PH'd water of 6.8-7. You should use 3x the volume of your pot in gallons of water. So if you have a 5 gallon pot, flush it with 15 gallons of water.

Test the runoff water for PH and ensure you are within limits. After you do this, I would apply a feeding at half strength and take it from there. If that doesn't fix it, you may have some kind of plant disease.

Also, is it possible you have a light cycle problem? It looks like your outside correct?

Your plants should never see more than a pale moonlight. If they are some how being exposed to light when they are not supposed to, (street light, appliance, window light from a neighbor or something like that) they can do some crazy shit. I had a buddy set his timer incorrectly while the plants were flowering because he wanted to change outlets. He was like 3 weeks into flowering and after he screwed that up I saw some CRAZY looking plants. The leaves were curled down, there were still pistils but buds stopped forming and basically the plants started vegging again but they looked MESSED up.

So if your out side BE 100% SURE that they are not getting exposed to any light you might not know about. Anything brighter than the moon is too bright.

i may guess that both of those can be one of my problem. i was getting a hunch it was ph problem but now that you have mentioned my light cycle i may be considering that...just wondering if this issue was not fixed wat damage should i be looking here? thanks for the info it was really helpful

ok so now that i have flushed my 5 gal pot...with about 10-12 gal of water i might be doing it again tomorrow, i am kind of concern about the new shoots that were already growing abnormally like curling up and rusty texture of like a paper and seems like they are all stuck there not growing. i know the damage has been done already, what i would like to ask is would it still grow healthy? how long should i be watching it? please help thanks. this is the first time happened to me trying to add chicken shit!!!

lesson learned stick to what works and not fucked it up by boosting other shit in there. i never burned a plant or fucked the ph level so i am still kinda new to this paranoia. i would like to get advice from people what i should expect from her. i gave her a boost of molasses flushed it with 2 gal so it can bounce back on its k, cal, mag. seriously how do i +rep? and am planning to erase pics on my profile

ph is too high causing nutrient lockout.
