It's normal for some yellowing as a plant flowers, but this looks more like a nitrogen deficiency. What/how often are you feeding?
It's definitely not normal for a plant to turn yellow when flowering. Yellowing means issues.

A big plant needs plenty of food especially in the critical 'mass making' stage. If it can't get enough for whatever reason (temps, low ec, ph issue etc) it will pull from the leaves and yellow. This is no bueno.

I agree. When flowering sometimes in the last 2 weeks I will see the plant start to cannibalize its self and deficiency pop up in the fan leaves because the buds are demanding so much. I will feed more often and try 2 slow down the rust spots and such but usually refuse to up my ec as it's so close to the end.

I never get yellowing like that unless I'm being lazy and know im gonna harvest in less than 48 hrs and decide to fill my dwc with just water. Then they yellow out fast

I get the best flavor when a plant cannabalizes itself at the end
I have more yellowing leaves this year than in years past, but I attribute that to my plant being in a smaller pot this year- 7gal. vs. my usual 15gal. but I'm feeding as much as I would in a 15gal.

Me too, on the flavor. I don't starve them, but I let the last top dress ride from mid September until harvest. Cuts down on the bud rot some too.

My sons had a plant next to my herem. They must have used an entire bag of worm castings. Plant was nice and green while mine were fading. They scoffed at me.

They chopped theirs 2 weeks ago, it was riddled with rot. Mine are all swaying gently in the breeze, getting fat and frosty. Who's scoffing now, peasants.
