1 stick butter, 2 cups water and 2 grams oil. Heat all together on stovetop, just boil for a couple minutes. Put in freezer. Wait then separate butter/oil mixture. Use for cooking.

Will it be decarbed, or what I'm saying is will he be able to feel it .thank you for taking time to help me and will the water and butter separate in different layers?

Dont do that..
Take hash oil. Put over a double boil, stays at a constant 210 and is great for decarbing quickly and pretty efficiently. The carboxyl group -cooh will break off as co2 and h2o bubbles. When the bubbles slow its complete..like popcorn.
This allows you to not unnecessarily degrade compounds while getting the most active.
You then want to heat coconut oil until it melts, 110-120 is fine, doesnt need to be overly hot. Slowly add hash oil to the coconut oil until its saturated.. it will hold roughly 20mg/ml of thc.
You can put this in capsules or edibles.
Cocounut oil is the best thing to use for oral administration. There are lots of different ways for slightly different uses.
I know you said he cant smoke, if thats what he was told as its heavy in his lungs i would suggest smoking small amounts if possible with oral doses. The lung tissue will absorb greater amouts of cannabinoids this way for more precise treatment.

Yea that will be decarbed, water boils at 212, thc decarbs around 240-260.

If going in pills do what what quizoking said, but I would add some soy lichen with the coconut oil.

Lecithin....
Lol the epitome of laziness, i took a quote from me...where the first half i didnt even feel like explaining. And didnt this time either.
lecithin.......
"In the pharmaceutical industry, it acts as a wetting, stabilizing agent and a choline enrichment carrier, helps in emulsifications and encapsulation, and is a good dispersing agent. It can be used in manufacture of intravenous fat infusions and for therapeutic use.

is an excellent emulsifier. In aqueous solution, its phospholipids can form either liposomes, bilayer sheets, micelles, or lamellar structures, depending on hydration and temperature."

sorry not in an explaining kind of mood today ^from wiki
heres a quote from my coconut oil thread. Why we use coconut
"....Now Medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) are medium-chain (8 to 10 carbons, kinda 6-12)

In the digestive system MCTs are broken down into individual fatty acids (MCFA). Unlike other fatty acids, MCFA are absorbed directly from the intestines into the portal vein and sent straight to the liver where they are, for the most part, burned as fuel much like a carbohydrate. In this respect they act more like carbohydrates than like fats.

Other fats require pancreatic enzymes to break them into smaller units. They are then absorbed into the intestinal wall and packaged into bundles of fat (lipid) and protein called lipoproteins. These lipoproteins are carried by the lymphatic system, bypassing the liver, and then dumped into the bloodstream, where they are circulated throughout the body. As they circulate in the blood, their fatty components are distributed to all the tissues of the body. The lipoproteins get smaller and smaller, until there is little left of them. At this time they are picked up by the liver, broken apart, and used to produce energy
MCTs do not require bile salts for digestion and therefore, passively absorbed by the intestinal tract into the blood stream where they are used for energy.. of course a bit simplified but basically faster onset and less degradation occurs.
Rich sources of MCTs include palm kernel oil, coconut oil and camphor tree drupes."

now an emulsion doesnt help anything we want it all dissolved in, it would be great in salad dressing though. we put it in a carrier to raise polarity and increase efficiency..
thc has a logp of about 7
In practice optimum colonic absorption is 1.32, intestinal is 1.35, oral 1.8, Cns 2, percutaneous at 2.6 and sublingual 5.5
Shorter chain triglycerides have a much higher polarity holding less in suspension and not being absorbed as quickly
an emulsion encapsulates..we dont want a suspension of cannabinoids. to make use of the coconut we want it dissolved in solution-not suspension.. it doesnt need help to be dispersed evenly this is the definition of a solution -homogenous.
All from a previous conversation on lecithen

You want to heat the oil and saturate it slowly with your hash concentrate

Ummmm decarbing...
Thca's half life is between 35-90 days depending exact environment...the less heat used the better, not only for preserving cannabinoids but retaining medicinal terpenes as well.
The good folks at ncbi
Have stated when decarbed at 500(your lighter) 50% or so makes it as intact thc when decarbed at 210 70% makes it..when decarbed at 170 something like 81% when decarbed without heat its in the high 80's...at that point light and air oxidation will play a factor and limit you, also decarbing will never give a 100% return as the cooh group is missing..
thca converts to active thc now a smaller molecule, the rest is degraded to delta 8 and to a lesser extent some cbn is formed...cbn starts to rapidly form just over 400°f

If you want more on the subject try....

Thank you brother i live in a place where it hard to get real medicine, but i like the way your numbers looked and i didnt want to lose terpenes thanks for your time ive got high hopes for this and again thank you, after ive saturated the oil what will i be left with and how can i administer it

Well as i mentioned. The coconut oil will hold roughly 20mg/ml of thc.(95% drinking alcohol will hold 27.4 mg/ml...just felt like throwing it out there)
To avoid unnecessary losses i prefer to put in capsules. The added heating of traditional butter and baking give the usual sedative effect in most edibles. Even though thc gets converted in your liver to a more potent form.
Typically people use size 00 caps, some people can find a pill that size to be nauseating and prefer a size 0. Now you can add more hash oil, even if not completely in suspension its decarbed and will have effects. Though not nearly as efficient.
Anyway. You should dose as high as possible, of course taking into account his comfort. Theres no real data on how much you should take to be an effective treatment. If resources allow, a gram a day is pretty typical.
Thc is metabolized and collected in your lungs even through oral use, but smoking a small amount if possible will increase permeation.

Well i think that would be the most effective treatment. But i might as well mention the other big ones.. so with that decarbed hash oil you could make a tincture that dissolves under the tongue and goes into the bloodstream quite quickly by saturating vegetable glycerin like in an ecig. Its just a polar sugar alcohol, perfectly fine to ingest and non irritating.
You could also make a topical solution. They are better suited for localized treatments, arthritis skin cancer etc. You would want to saturate unrefined sunflower oil and add 5-10% ethanol or propylene glycol. Etoh of course is just drinking alcohol, everclear most common source. The pg can be found at ecig shops etc. Dmso is also a really great permeation enhancer and easy enough to get.

So would i would personally do is give 300mg doses orally (if hes able) and smoke small amounts before it kicks in and as it wears off, then dose again. I would do this morning, noon and night.

Im not really suggesting drinking much alcohol without knowing more about his circumstances but one of my personal favorites is saturating everclear. 1Tbsp will hold about 400mg, this is a strong dose. And to put that in perspective, thats the alcohol content of 1 shot of 30%..which can be added to any drink.

Thank all you guys for helping ,my dad passed two days ago and I really apreciate yall coaching me the medicine worked just fine, and this is off subject my carbon filter arrived today and the bag that it was wrapped in had carbon in the bottom of the bag is that normal because this is my 1st filter and I don't want it to be junk it wasn't much but any input would be awesome

@deerdude90 sorry for your loss; i haven't lost a parent but it sure seems like it would be a hard thing to go through  especially with a terrible disease like cancer.

i've ordered two filters and they didn't have carbon falling out--hopefully some more experienced RIU members will be along soon to answer that one.

:peace:

sorry man , he is in a better place:) *blessings*
carbon filters sometimes are jarred in transit. if the carbon is small "dust like " particulate i would not worry . give it a shake if its not too huge hehehehe:) should be "packed " pretty tight. take a pic if there is alot and send it to the manufacture co. they take care of folks if possible...

Thanks guys,I'm strong and ill make it i get that from my dad, it was dust like but I called the store and they said it was OK I'm making a new post about my new organic grow within a couple a days check in with me and feel free to give any advice,it's going to be a Scroggins BTW with Reserva privada strawberry banana, og raskal white romulan, connoisseur genetics purple cheddar, and either purple og 18 or blue og I'll take vote or whatever on the purple or the blue but once again thanks for yalls helping words, take it easy
