Help identifying bug

Hey guys, so I just finished my cardboard grow box setup today, and moved my plants in.
When I went to check on them I found a big bug on one of my plants.
Is this guy a danger to my plants ? or maybe a predatory bug that will kill other bugs ?
Im thinking about killing it, it looks like one of those buggers that could bite me or something, lol.

Thats a beetle, no harm or foul... beetles can eat plant matter and some eat other insects. If you ever notice your plants getting damaged from this pest, then I would be concerned...! Hope this helps!...

Thanks Colorado, I think I'll remove it from my grow box to be on the safe side.
