so ive read all the threads and im considering getting an aerogarden, for my indoor grow. and ive heard that it works quite well. The only downside is the fertilizer. People have said buy fox farms fert for veg stage and flowering. is this true? and the aero garden has 7 pods, there could not be enough room for 7 plants, how many should i grow do u think?

AG is a cool toy as I have one and have grown in it but it is way to small for even 2 or 3 good size plants. I built a real Hydro/Aero system with parts off the shelf from Walmart/Lowes. Unless you can buy one for very little I found a post here where a guy built a hydro system from parts and would love to give him credit but can't find the darn link. We copied his design and spent about $100 including gas to get there. That was even going to Worms Way to get the media and grow plugs plus nuts. A complete system including lights.

and dont use the nuets that come with it use fox farm aero trio
start pure water no nuets until your plants start needing water well after two weeks then start adding a 1/4 strength solution of fox farm you will want to keep ontop of ph and water level as you dont want the water level to get too low when first adding the nuets you are dealing with 1 gallon of water and those nuets are being pumped to the roots on a 20/4 cycle i mix up one gallon at 1/4 strength once that whole gallon has been put in i move to 1/2 strength and then never increase after that just change to the tiger bloom like in schedule, ive never had to cycle the water (change it out) because one plant takes 1-2 cups of water per day just after 2 weeks of growth.
