HELP first Time grower topped plant, Did I mess up??

So I topped my plant a little less than 24hrs ago and it looks a little droopy and doesn't seem to have any new growth.
My concern is when I was Topping I cut off the top node but in doing so I accidentally cut off the two little LEAVES next to the main stem completely off on both sides, so now there is nothing there but a little piece of main stem. I'm just curious will new tops form out of nothing or did I mess up my plant? Here are some picsIMG_20151128_132645.jpgIMG_20151128_132721.jpg

One or both of the dominant tops from the area you cut will continue to grow and put out new growth that itself can be topped.

I've topped two plants before and it worked but i've never accidentally taken off the two little nubs/leaves on each side of the main stem until now just trying to figure out if nubs will grow back or is my plant screwed
hopefully...that IS where all your energy is going..hope for the best.

No, the two branches on the internode below your cut are now your tops. You want to chop the main stem about a 1/4" above those two.

So you're saying I should cut off the-top two fan leaves and just go to the node below? that will be almost half the plant though

Yeah you cut too high or too low depending on who you ask

But you know what when I main line I sometimes keep the fan leaves above at least until I go into flower

but yeah you might be better off doing a mainline

Try a FIMM type of topping next time bud

So if I leave the top fan leaves and don't cut anymore branches will sprout from the internode below?
And yea on my first topping attempt on another plant I accidentally fimmed and ended up-getting six tops

The 2 lower shoots will grow like the top of the plant now you could probably train the next 2 to more or less equal the top 2, so just have 4 branches coming off the stem when you get into flower ?

You could leave them until those lower branches grow a little then get rid of them. Nothing is going to grow out of the top of that plant, the two small branches coming up are now the tops of your plant. even though they are lower than the highest point.

Leave it alone and see. Learn a little.
