help chosing specific strains

Hello Every one,

Been lurking for years obtaining as much information as possible have learning alot through 4 grows now and am finally getting to the point where i think i got the hang of it. Now its time to find "the weed" for me well in this case 4.

What i am looking for is 4 strains in 4 distinct categories.

The first.. I am looking for a creative clear thinking functional strain. Im a guitar player and would love something to let me really get into it more so then your typical bud. I know that this strain should be sativa or sativa dom hybrid. once again i want to be FUNCTIONAL! something good for during the day time that makes me want to do stuff. like a joint coffee and newspaper in the morning kind of bud. but with so many to choose from it makes it so hard. So any thoughts on this would be great i was thinking some kind of haze or jack herer

next i am looking for the melt into the couch and not move for 3 hours strain i want the definition of couch lock. Indica for sure something to come home to after a long day of work and just completely relax and let go. also this would be for nighttime only the smoke a joint and sleep like a baby kidn of bud not that i dont sleep like a baby already.

the 3rd is something fruity.. the sweetest best tasting best aroma bud you can think of... i was thinking bubble gum sweet deep grapefruit or along those lines. for this category taste and smell are the most important the high comes next sweet sweet sweet.

and last but not least something purple. the high isn't so much what i'm after with this one im looking for bag appeal here... i want the purplest purple there is... I want to look at this bud and say damn that shit must be good... my short ls next gen grapegod, emerald triangle royal purple king, reserva privada purple wreck and tga subcool querkle.

Please if you have not grown or smoked these strains your thoughts are appreciated but not needed. I am looking for experience folks with some good advice if your just going to leave a one liner post in another thread please. I do not mean to come off rude. I have been researching strains for about 3 months now and the more i read the more i think that's the one until i see that next one! i'm sure we've all been there. Any-who If you can make a solid knowledgeable comment on what i am looking for please get back to me.

for the first and third category, i can kill two birds with one stone so to speak... c99 is what you're after.. c99 is said to come from jack herer, but has a flowering time of around 56 days or so, which is great for a sativa dom smoke.. nice yields, buds covered in frost, and an amazing fruity, pineapple smell that is filling up my grow room as we speak.. i'm super excited to see how these are going to turn out for reals..

for a heavy indica, i hear tons of good things about tahoe og from cali connection.. i'd stick with their regular seeds though, but all i hear about tahoe it that it's a super heavy indica.. check out the skunk munkies smoke report on it on this site.. good stuff..
another heavy indica is herijuana, available at sannies seed shop.. it's another heavy indica dom strain that is said to be too heavy for some users.. i have grown it and it's a very nice smoke.. has an odd smell and taste to it that some don't like, but i did.. decent yields of compact buds are what you will get from that..
as for something purple, i would say the purps from bc bud depot.. supposed to be one of the more potent purple strains, i know you don't care about potency, but why not have both?? i am growing some gdp's from connoisuer, and i'm not seeing any purple on them thus far, about 7 weeks or so into flower as well..
there was just a thread on here called the purps by bc bud depot where someone was asking about this strain, and someone posted up a few pix and talked about the strain some..sounded nice to me.. if you're going to order bc bud depot's gear, i would suggest ordering it from the attitude and not from bc bud depot directly as i hear a lot of people have had issues with bc bud depot, although i have always gotten my gear when i ordered from them..

#1 Kali Mist from S.S. it's been around forever and info is easy to find. They are out of stock alot because it's one of the elite sativa's in seed form period.

#2 Sour Boggle from BOG. It has the power of Sour bubble with the better yield and quicker veg time of his bubble gum. Anything you can get from bushy is great. He's one of my favorite seed company's and everything flowers quick, Best bubblegum strains on the market.

#3 Agent Orange from Subcool. The taste is Amazing and the high is very good. Just like BOG's gear anything from Subcool is good to go and worth trying. Read up on his strains lot's of great threads with info from the man himself

#4 Querkle again from Subcool will work. Not the biggest purple yielder but is one of the best purple's going. He offer's a few other purple strains and they are all nice. His books are very good you should check them out

Racer glad to have some one with you knowledge spread some light... 11,000+ post im assuming you know a thing or two! Anyways i have also heard nothing but good things about c99 but have never actually looked into so i will check that out tonight. which breeder would you recommend for the c99? or is there only 1? I think that is the most difficult part for me is not only narrowing down the strain but then figuring out which breeders offer that strain and which is more "original". using that term loosely because lets be honest its not really THE Original but anyways.

ill also have to check out the herijuana as i was thinking at one point of going with sannies jack would make it easy to just order everything from him and not have to deal with the tudes shipping prices. The purps ill look into as well..

Kali Mist sounds good can you go into depth about the high yields what to expect... flowering time and the like.

Where can i find BOG seeds? i dont see em on the tude and i will either be ordering from attitide or castle for my beans im leaning toward castle for the free shipping and have heard only good things about them and their customer service which is something seldom found when dealing with seedbanks. I have had 100% success with attitude but i would be a little uneasy if my order got screwed up for them to fix it.

Also the only thing keeping me away from subcools strains are that he doesnt offer feminzed seeds. Although unnecessary i would much prefer to use feminzed seeds in order to save time and space.

The only drawback in your case on the kali mist is that it's a true sativa and no fem's. The true sativa thing I'm talking about is a long flower time like 90 to 100 days but only needs a week or 2 for veg but worth the time. Yields are good if topped and trained right and if you make clones that will cut down on time also. I'm not a big fan of fem's unless your only buying a few seeds but if you buy a regular 10 pack of Subcool's strains you will get at least 5 girls easy. I never got under that from him and usually 70% female ratio and that goes for 8 of his strains I've tried over the years. Why not use regular seeds because you can pick your best male and either make yourself same strain free seeds or nice crosses. You can also collect the male pollen and save it to brush on a few bottom branches of choice strains without seeding the hole plant or room. Also hermie's suck and you will see alot of that with female seeds that's why non cash hungry breeders like bog and sub refuse to make them. I use a small 3x3 tent for breeding and it also doubles as a drying tent and sometimes a e-z cloner.

Bogs gear is sold in cali and colorado local and online threw seedboo so that may not work for you. I'd just buy from the tude if I was you and you can get mosca's Indy bubblegum cross that will be the next best thing and they are offering 5 free reg sweetooth seeds with any order and you will be glade you got both. They are straight up funky goodness and not something everyone has like a boring kush. Not saying kush is bad but everybody has it. If you do the pick and mix I'd shop Tga for regs and buy 4 seeds of each strain to get 3 females. Vortex,Agent Orange,Plush berry,Querkle or Deep purple all fit your needs.Dna ,Ace,Cannabiogen,Soma for fems. Nirvana has cheap fem's also that are good for the price but I'd spend most my cash on Tga subcool or Ace fem's if any are in stock

All I can really say is that DNA Genetics C-13 Haze is very uplifting and inspirational and thought inspiring and tastes and smells deliciously fruity, but it is either easy to grow or hard depending on your style...It likes to be left alone...very little nutes, very little water...so it is actually really easy to grow, but hard for me to leave a plant alone to the extent this strain prefers..it will be the ugliest little plant ever if you nute it, but without nutes it is awesome..the smoke is A+, and I don't understand how more people haven't found it...

you can find bog's gear at the seed boutique.. i have ordered from them around 5x's or so and have always gotten my gear with no problems..
i just ran some of bogs sour strawberry kush and it is some nice smoke, bog is pretty under rated in these parts imo..

there are a few breeders who offer a c99 now.. the original comes from bros grimm, who are no longer in the seed game for w/e reasons.. now i know bog offers a c99 called sweet cindy, and kos, kingdom organic seeds offers a c99 called iron cindy.. you can get kos stuff from places like hemp depot i think as well as cannazon and a few other smaller banks.. the dude rev from skunk magazine is one of the 2 people behind kos seeds fyi..

kali mist used to be a really super sativa, top notch much like jack herer, but around 2003, they did something new to it, and it definitely lost some of it's luster.. not to say its no longer a good strain, just not as good as it once was is all..

oops, forgot to mention that mosca negro also has a c99, but it's been out of stock at most places for awhile now.. there's also another breeder that sells on the attitude who has a c99, but i'm drawing a blank atm.. sorry about that, but if you put c99 into the search function on the site i'm sure it will pop up for you that way..

now you got me thinking... i had previously thought about going the regular route and making my own seeds but space is a concern... i mean i have an entire basement but ill be in a tent soo thats my only space... i know i eventually will get to that point but for now i think i just want fem seeds to try different strains until i find the one. and then make seeds so i dont have too keep a mother and clone clone clone.

ive only grown with cfls in a closet so i figure ill be investing ~800 bucks to get me what i need 4x4 600 hps inline fan carbon scrubber seeds soil the works... after my initial run with the new gear the harvest will pay for its self and then i can get into picking a strain to stick with and make seeds and keep it FOREVER haha. I figure im going to do a perpetual and just use rubbermaid tubs and veg/clone boxes as i have about 30 odd cfls from previous grow wouldnt have to worry about light for a while and just use diy carbon scrubber just incase.

the only c99 that popped was female seeds co. so im assuming thats the one your talking about... it sounds pretty legit i have added it to my list. Why do they have to make so many strains! it makes it so hard to choose... yeah yeah i know variety is the spice of life.

And about the Kali Mist i read about how they changed up the recipe to supposedly increase yield and make it "better" seems just like everything in life the sequel always sucks. not that i know enough about it to say it sucks as im sure its some great stuff but compared to the first makes me wonder

hmm i hadnt looked at the one before... i was checking out cannalope haze which sounded pretty good to me... what is the difference between the two if you happen to know. From what i see it looks C-haze is 100% sativa while C-13 is 90/10.

Any comments?

oh and as for leaving it alone wouldnt be a problem for me... if anything i tend to underfeed my plants as i started with autos so i have always been extra careful with nutes not to mention i dont feel like buying a 60 dollar pack for fox farms trio every month gotta make that stuff last! haha

get a moisture meter and water on the 3 everytime.the trio i bought i been using over a year and i do at least 30 to 40 plants at a time,4 times a yr.

Yeah i had planned on getting one of those... im sick of lifting pots and being alll hmmm yeah that seems light only to come back hours later to droopy plants... good to know the trio bottles will last quite a while. yeah after reading up on c99 im really enjoying what im hearing but now im also thinking of apollo as well... i was thinking maybe tga apollo X vortex. Thanks for leading me down the right path as i know im getting close to fulfilling category number 1 for the head high energectic creative strain.... for the fruity im really leaning hard on serious seeds bubble gum or female seeds bubblegummer... as for the knock out stoneface and purple im still a bit lost.

Any input is appreciated

i do mainly purps because of the color and grape bubble dank and taste.soaking in crystals.i use sugar daddy las 2 weex of flowering for that edge.

I'm intrigued... you're #1 strain is Kali Mist (almost purchased this on the birthday special for 'Tude) but your favorite bubble gum is Bog's and not S.S (bought the Bubble Gum instead for my wife and I've ran clones from original seeds (a friend purchased) of S.S. AK and WR so I know Simons Legit) , have your tried S.S bubble Gum? I believe it's bog that crossed TH Seeds with S.S and to make his bubble right?

Clear High.... No ones mentioned my favorite Super Silver Haze (Mr Nice Seeds), in my experience one of the most complex highs I've experienced. The onset is heavy, almost overpowering to a light smoker (a couple friends who are occasional smokers put this down after 2/3 hits). I find it leaving me in a stupor for about 10-20 minutes, but than it's a total cerebral high, leaving me energized and "creative".

Sensi Star by Paradise is my all time favorite smoke, we grew this out for about 3 years (until the guy growing it was busted in a non legal state) Sensi Star is just crazy, it combines a clear heady high with a couch locked body. I seriously used to find myself watching a movie or playing video games for a few hours than getting up to go to the kitchen and realizing "holy crap I'm still high".

Fruity... anything crossed with Grapefruit, anything with c99 (which if I'm not mistaken Bros Grimm bred Grapefruit into her) a good blueberry strain. Many of TGA strains (I know you want fems) have a pheno type with fruity aroma's and also many of those strains have C99 x Romulan in them)

when you say you do mainly purps... as in The Purps? or purple strains in general.... if the latter which has been your favorite purple strain?
