HELP! bugs during harvest?

so i found some bugs on my leaves during my trimming...they are small black (some are brown) looking bugs...very tiny..(can be seen with the naked eye..think nat size).

i also noticed one of the leaves tiny black spots which i heard are possibly spider mites.

how do you fight off pests during harvest? 4 of my plants are down...1 fully dried and already in jars (not bugs i seen but i cant be sure). others had the little black (and some brown) ones...

i didn't see any spider mites with a magnifying glass so I'm not sure.

my question is this: do the bugs still pose a threat to the plants onces the buds are cut and either: hanging up on a rope...in paper bags...or curing in mason jars?

or will they simply (and literally) EAT my buds (which i hope isn't the case). never had a bug problem before...looking for a good simple and hopefully cheap solution...

or are my buds useless (throw them out?) and/or dangerous to consume/smoke?

help me out. please and thank you.

You should go ahead and burn it... if you like smokin bug poop and bugs themselves. I'd rather not myself. make hash with the finer screens to filter most out is what we did a while back on a buddies crop. Bugs taste gross and I prefer full canabis flavor over burnt flesh taste... You wont get much hash buy itll be good. Or smoke the bugs if they are very few. His were pretty bad.

my question was is there a way to remove the bugs (if there still are any)? could ladybugs be put in the jars with the buds or is that a bad idea? and idk how much a bug could live in a air tight mason jar? or am i wrong.

im really hoping not to waste potentially 8-10oz. :( someone please help me save my harvest here. any ideas please.

bump. i really need some answers. i looked it up online but could only find solutions to the problem if you haven't harvested yet. i have started my harvest and only have 2 of 6 plants remaining (hoping to chop today).

so i wanted to know what i need to do to my bud to get rid of these f***ers. i have some in jars...some still hanging and some in paper bags...and as i said 2 plants still intact waiting for the chop. i did NOT notice any of the webs on my plants (another sign of mites) so i may or may not have spidermites...however i do have some small black bugs and a few brown looking ones...both very small and they hang out on the leaves...they don't appear to do any damage that i can tell...just more of a pain in the ass than anything else...

basically do the bugs vacate the leaves/buds once its chopped down? or do they stick around and each the bud?

because if they do vacate the leaves/buds then I'm sure a chop would be all i need to do to fix the problem correct?

never had bug issues before so sorry if these are n00bish questions...i really just need to know as i dont have internet access at my grow spot.

try the lady bugs in the jars and bags. they are cheap and easy to pick outta the bud. if they work great. if not your only out 14 or so bucks

usually mites stay on the leaves where there is not so much tricomb development

If you have quality product they rarely get into the sticky flowers

Just trim the leaves very very good before you dry/cure

If it is a horrible infestation, taste or smells like ass make butter with it...

The mites die or leave the plant once it is harvested. They can't live on dead plant material.
