bad description again, the way you explained it basically sum's up the little creatures, some of them are darker than others though, and they like running running in the leaf veins.

I sprayed all the leaves with a high concentration of neem oil so i hope that kills this small infestation before it gets out of hand.
You have thrip damage on the leaves. It seems like the description fits. Neem may make the leaves taste bad...but you already have all life stages. Most of the life stages are in the soil...neem will be of little help. If you spray neem directly on the elusive little bastards...it may disrupt some respiration.

Bottom line for Thrips: They will die with many pesticides commonly used including the pyrethroids.

If you prefer a more organic approach that is tested true 100% in my garden...Do this: Go to garden shop...home depot will even work (I think) You need 2 items...Diatomaceous Earth (there are several grades from pool to food grade [feed store!]) sold as a crawling insect powder, and Spinosad.

Sprinkle the DE on soil surface (or whatever substrate) after it drys a touch (I use a salt shaker) this will get the couple of life stages in which they are nibbling on your roots before they play "Jack and the potstalk" you have leaf damage so you have adults which live on the plant and are hard to see...if you see them, you have LOTS.

So to get the rasping adults spray with the Spinosad. It is a naturally occurring compound produced by a bacterium found in rum barrels in the Caribbean. I think it is safe to day of harvest. It is sold in a pre-mix form and a concentrate with a lawn sprayer on the cap...get this one and mix your own with water (directions included to do this on package).

This is safe and 100% effective for thrips.

They used to be a pain in my ass leading me to use some nasty pyrethrum which, there is a chance, the reason for the death of my cat.

Thrips are a non issue for me now...if I see evidence, the spray bottle and the shaker are on the shelf no sweat.

all this being said, the leaf yellowing is likely def/lockout...if other leaves are dark green, just give her water for a couple of waterings and back off on what you were feeding.

Buy a cat/dog flea collar. The organic kind that is only impregnated with volatile oils. Cut a few small pieces from it and hang them on your plant/s. You can connect what's left with the buckle on it around the stem and let it sit on the soil. I just tried this and it seems to work like a charm.

They sell sticky traps for thrips, as well. And DE.
