Hello There

Hi all!

I've been a member for a couple months lurking in the shadows. I've decided to introduce myself now as I've just had a devastating cannabis problem arise and I felt that been around "friendly" cannabis cultivators might make me feel better haha.

Unfortunately, last night, someone jumped my back fence and cut down my crop 2-5 weeks from harvest Lost over a pound of medicine that was going to last me months. Nothing I can do though; at least I still have enough to last me a while. Plus, I guess I should be cutting down for my new job :/

The strains that were stolen are: Female seeds - Big Grapefruit x 3, Variety of Unknown Sativas x 4 (bag seed), Ripper Seeds - Double Glock, Pisces Genetics - Blush, Medical Seeds - 1024 (don't think it actually was 1024 though), and a Big Grapefruit pollinated with a Big Buddha Seeds - Buddha OG Kush (feminized? lol). Luckily I have already collected the seeds. They were 2-5 weeks from harvest.

I've only been growing for about 6-8 months. It's mainly for the purpose of self medicating and crossing strains to see what cool hybrids I can make for my partner, friends, and I to try. I am a Southern Hemisphere grower from an area where the winters are mild to warm and the summers are beautiful to soul crushingly hot haha. My partner and I both enjoy smoking and growing - most of the time lol.

In another plot - used mostly for autos - which is right next to the house I am currently growing a Dinafem - White Widow, so should be safe from thieves *fingers crossed*. The rest of the auto plot has already been harvested, and mostly gone

I also have a shed that I converted into two separate grow rooms for vegging and for flowering photos. In the Veg room I have: 5x Pyramid Seeds - Tutankhamon, 5x Medical Seeds - Y'Griega, 1x Cali Connection - GSC, 1x Barney's Farm - LSD & Cookies Kush, and 1x Blimburn Seeds - Tijuana.
Plus: 10x Auto Assassin (reg), 7x Kush Van Stitch Auto (reg), 1x Samsara Seeds - Ultraviolet Auto (fem), 1x Auto Seeds - Auto Chemdog (fem), and 1x World of Seeds - Afghan Kush Ryder (fem) seedlings for breeding purposes.

PS I have attached two photos of the white widow. It is about 85cm tall and I think you can see the last Barney's Farm - Sweet Tooth Auto behind it (It's being chopped tomorrow). A photo of the stolen plot - hoping I can re veg the BGF and two Unknown Sativas. The last photo is of the veg room, which is only being half utilized until I get another two Hydro 48's.

It sucks you got robbed, obviously word of the grow got into the wrong ears. Who did you tell they are almost ready for harvest? if you have to grow outside you can build a chain link fence Cage with chain link fence for roof and then get some stray dogs to stand watch.

Do you know how to clone?

I actually think it was someone from my neighborhood. I live on the last street in my town and there is a dirt track lane way behind us, that a lot of "dodgy" people use to ride their dirtbikes. I - stupidly - decided it was smart to put up a 3m shade cloth greenhouse right up the back of the yard close to the back fence. Drawing attention to my plot basically. The plot close to the house wasn't touched and they must have watched the house for a number of nights, as it was the only night - in months - both the Boerboels were sleeping inside.

Thanks for posting about the chain link fence. I will look into that for next years outdoor grow. Going to dig another plot close to the house that gets full sun at about 2m tall and dismantle the current greenhouse structure. In the mean time I'm just going to be growing a lot of veggies in that plot. Those A-Holes better not steal those too

I would find the fastest growing corn you can, fill the shade house completely with corn and make it look like you are resuming growing. It has to be convincing looking. If you hear the bikers riding the trail- come out to the yard and let them see you are still growing. Scream "damn monkeys" or "damn deers" so loud they will think that you think the plants were eaten by animals. Throw your shovels at the fence act mad at yourself and the deer. Yell "oh well my next ladies are "Blue Dream!" So they know more dank is coming soon.

Buy some handcuffs. And stun guns. Discretely put cameras so you can see what is going on in your fence. In a few weeks people should see all silhouettes of big plants in there. Invite all your friends for a little party and tell them your babies are growing strong very fast and they're going to be ready in one week. But don't tell them it is corn!

Your partner should not be in on it, maybe she told somebody and you don't realize that is why you got robbed. Let the dogs stay outside during day and inside at night.

If you do it right, somebody will fall into your trap and you can hit them with a stun gun, have it all on video, handcuff them with a citizens arrest and Press charges so they stop robbing you and others. Don't be surprised if the people stealing are your friends.

Your grow house is now a "mark" and thieves/friends will keep robbing you, so you need to "set them up" to get caught.

If you are legally growing keep the chain link cage up and leave the shade cloth to grow corn and veggies and remain your trap house. Good luck. Consider rescuing some stray neighborhood dogs that will always live outside and be happy with food,water, and warmth.

Unfortunately I live in near desert conditions, so no real animals around to eat them, plus I have a 1.8m tall, sheet tin, back fence. So I'd probably just look like a crazy person haha. They did leave about 1/3-1/4 of the three main plants, with under developed buds on them. So maybe they are thinking about coming back in a month. Ordered security cameras today, so will set them up soon.

We don't actually have people around, besides our parents (high school head teacher, mine superintendent, chocolate maker, cleaner), My partners closest friend (who hasn't been in the backyard since we started growing) and one of my closest friends, who is currently helping me try and find out who did it, as he has a lot of local connections.

I'm re vegging two of the plants, and letting the other two continue growing in the back plot, in hopes to entice them back. After that, I'm only growing veggies back there and enclosing the last side, that is still open, which might make them think I'm still growing anyways. I'm just going to continue growing indoors and in the plot close to the house. It would be suicide trying to get that close to the house, and due to the layout of the back yard, they may not even know about the other plot.

Unfortunately, it isn't yet legal, so I can't really do anything but hope they come back, catch them out, and get a bit of payback. Plus, I have a small child, so having stray dogs around the yard would probably cause more harm, than good. Especially considering my 6 month old, little shit head of a Boerboel has eaten parts of plants, numerous times.
