I was wondering what it takes if much to rent a house in Canada?
I have some friends that are Canadian and suggested I rented a place up there.
Looking for a fairly nice house, one or two bedroom. Not too close to a populated area. Place to be alone away from jahmerica.
I am from cali. So what are the laws on this and the prices roughly for places like this? And maybe a good location if yalls can suggest one.
-Mr Nice GUY

I promise the Canadian people will love me, i am very kind.:bigjoint:

You do realize that Canada is another country right? You can't just stroll over the border and set up a new life. I have no idea but I would imagine you would either need a work or student visa to even rent a place.

Okay...Hope I can help. I'm an American Living in Canada.

1. You can live in Canada up to 6 months without a visa after that you'll either have to apply for one...or leave the country. You'll probably have no problem renting because generally people just want the cash. Im assuming since you're a left coaster that's where you want to stay. So if you end up in B.C. you're going to pay a shitload for a two bedroom house. Im thinking somewhere in the neighborhood of 12-1500 per month. B.C. is maad expensive. If you move to Ontario where I stay...You can find the same home from about 750-1000 per month. But if you're going to do what I think you're doing. I'd move to B.C. it's expensive but Growing is widely accepted. I'd say apply for a Visitors Visa, and if you have any transferable skill then apply for a work visa, and permanent residency. Or you can find one of the many glorious Canadian chicks and knock her up so you can stay. You can't just stay...you need to provide a valid reason for staying in the country.

Yea i aint some kinds of tard-re. And I would want some kind of double citizen thing

Canada doesn't allow Dual-Citizenship. You have to give up your American Citizenship in order to become a citizen. But if you were a canadian looking to become an american citizen you could. Fucked up huh?

Hope I can finds me a beauty bunny over in Canada too!
Are there (i am sure there are) outskirts of residential Canada that are cheaper? Any other places in Canada that you would recommend?
And any info on medicinal cannabis regulations throughout Canada or how that works.

Canada is all outskirts outside of the larger cities. It would probably be 10x easier for you to find a place in a rural area than a metropolitan area. I can only Really Recommend Ontario. Winters can be a bit harsh at times, but it's not like The interior (Sask, Manitoba, Alberta) Where it can get -30 and below. The summers are nice, but can be a little inconsistent. Highs in the high 70s up to 90's and sometimes into the 100's but that's rare. As opposed to the interior where it can get very very hot consistently. The only thing about B.C. is the Crappy ass weather. It rains a shitload...which is bad on the Psyche. Quebec is cool. Montreal is fairly liberal as far as MJ goes...don't know much about the Medical initiative there. In Ontario the Medical Reform is coming along, but there are still alot of Underground Caregivers. Canada as a whole despite its acceptance is still under a lot of pressure from the U.S. to be more strict than what they should be with Medical Marijuana. here is a link to the B.C. cannabis club hopefully it helps you out.medical marijuana, medical marijuana canada, compassion club, medical cannabis, medical marijuana vancouver - Medical Cannabis

Oh and you will find a canadian woman. Man. Just my personal opinion...I think they're amazing...but Im a bit biased because Im married to one. But man...they're some of the most beautiful on earth.
