Heavyweight fast and vast, my 1st time with autos. In need of help!

Just about to start 5 of the Fast and vast under 600w
Gonna do 1st 3 weeks under T5, the remainder under 600w. I'm a bit unsure whether to run MH or HPS. Or MH Until flowering begins and then switch.

I wanted to do in Cana coco cycle, any advice when to start giving them Cana A&B, and when to begin adding canazym, rhizotonic, boost and PK etc...?

Never done an auto before so very keen to get it right 1st time if I can.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Biggest thing with autos is feed light and slowly progress. I start feeding at week 2 and don't switch to bloom nutes till the preflower stretch is over. Most people don't know this part and end up with little plants. Autos will flower on their own but adding flower nutes to soon will sort of make them transition sooner.

Thanks Big Smo, that's what I needed to know. What about switching from MH to HPS? Switch to HPS at the same time you start adding bloom nutes?

Yes switch once the stretch stops.
My first ever auto run I saw pistles and switched. The plants stayed very short under 24" and had tons of deficiencies while most of the lower leaves died off. The next run I waited and the plants were extremely big and full. During the stretch the most I saw was 4.5" of growth in a day.

Great stuff. Have you had any experience running them on 600s and what's your best yield been like using this lighting, feeding technique?

I'll be feeding just oh water for 1st two weeks, then begin adding 1/4 strength Cana coco A&B plus rhizotonic and cannazym. Start adding cannaboost when stretch stops. Would you go to full strength on nutes? When would you begin adding pk?

I was going to use just coco with a few clay pebbles at the bottom of pots for drainage. Would you add anything else to the coco?

Sorry for all the questions just wanna try get best results. Thanks

Don't worry about the questions man. I just don't have answers for most of them. I did one run under hps. The yield was fair 4oz.
Nutes I always went a little under half Weekly then went twice a week then every water which was every 36 hours when they got big. Right after the buds started forming I added light PK. Just go easy till you get a comfortable on what they can handle. New strains are always tough.

I use flora duo which is for soil or hydro but not done a hydro run yet. My room humidity is already to high nevermind all that extra water around.

That's per plant right?

I've just been hand watering in coco only so no extra humidity, used to use an IWS but sick of the clean up after. I might go with soil on these, only ever used coco or pebbles.

Do you mix anything with your soil or use a certain type?

How about lighting do you go 24/7 right through?

Cheers

Yes 4oz per plant. Under my new lights they did much better thankfully. I just use Promix hpcc with additional perlite. Nothing fancy added in because I use regular synthetic nutes. Lighting I do 18-6 and only because my lights are very intense and the plants tend to be short and stocky so the break helps them stretch a little. Plus it gives everything a break. image.jpeg
There was 1 vast and fast in here somewhere. Some Moby Dick and cream of the crop. Don't let anyone tell you autos suck. Over the coarse of a year of indoor you can yield more with them than photos.

Nice looking lights bro. What brand? Is it all COB lights?

These photos above yielded more than 4oz that was under hps with nute issues. With the Amare I pulled between 6-8.5 oz a plant.
Wow! That set up is unreal! I've been looking at those lights they sound awesome. The website doesn't have prices and I don't think they ship to UK. I've emailed them so see what they say. Do you just hand water or have you get them in a system Smo?
