Hey awesome thanks for the info I'll keep be giving this a try I think! How much does it cost a month having it running?
I just got mine about a month ago so i haven't got the first bill yet since i started using it. I don't think it will be to bad though it's only really had to run alot on really cold days. it runs at 1500 watts. Is really been a life saver for me though. No open element so it doesn't dry the air out and you don't get that glow like a forced air space heater so you can put it right in your room just put some black duct tape over the little lights on the front. It's got a remote to witch is a plus. I'll know in a few days how much it bumped up the bill for me and I'll post it here

That sounds great, I appreciate all this information man. Been searching for good ones for days. All the other heaters out there either are bright or run off gas or propane and stink. Will be putting this one at the top of my list! Hoping the bills not too big!

I actually find lower temps advantageous. For one, cooler temps increase female ratios. Also, resin develops in copious amounts, more so then in hot, humid temps, That's been my experience, in any case. Cannabis is a hardy plant and I can personally attest to having a plant in my crawl-space during a Cold 20 f winter. She continued to flower (slowly) and produced very resinous nuggets. Yield was decreased though, due to the low temps. I really DON'T recommend growing in Such Cold temps, but mine finally pulled through in the end. Many strains, and obviously; African / Equatorial, or tropical Sativas will not thrive in these temps, but most Indicas / hybrids, Just might. :leaf:

The oil heaters STINK so to say you would put one In a tent ......No way.The heater I suggested is from a well known hydro shop .....can't remember their name but a swift search would find it in no time.this heater has a thermostat and never needs to be above 21c to keep my reasonably large space at that constant temp.I also like it because of its size it was originally for IN the tent because believe it or not it's only 10inches high(not much taller than my 15ltr pots)and 28 inches long.I can't tell you how much research I done trying to find my ideal solution but it paid off and for the princely sum of 50 bucks .........it's a no brainer imo.....

So I'm building a shed to grow in year round. It's gonna end up being 8'×12' with a 6' roof (maybe a little taller) fully insulated and will be dividing it into 4 separate rooms.

The flower room will be 8'×6' and I'm thinking of running 2x600w wing hood hps.The veg room will be 6'×4' and have a 600w wing hood MH. This is simply because those are the lights I have. Also have an extra 400w. the other room will be my dry/cure room which is 4'×2' and just a 4'×4' walk in area.

Now I'm from up north and Temps have gotten to almost -30°F some days this winter.
The shed is going to be kept in the garage (not heated) out of the weather but still very cold obviously. So I'm looking for the best way to heat my rooms efficiently. I can't keep a wood stove going or anything like that going, just don't have the time. Maybe a good electric heater that won't make my electric bill sky rocket? Any suggestions welcome!

Thanks
Electricity + heat = no money
But really if you have your room well insulated and pretty air tight and inside the garage as you suggested you might be OK....the trick is run your lights at night let the lights help heat the place at night . I'd invest in one of those edenpure heaters!

Hey thanks for the tip. Wasnt gonna put the heater in the tents i dont think just in the corner to heat the outside of the tents. Do you remember the hydro shops name? It would be nice to actually be able to put it in the tent if I gotta too. Thanks Greenhouse!
