Health Canada clarification about 4 recreational plants and HC approved plants

I called Health Canada today looking for clarification for outdoor growing. I have had permits from HC dating back to the MMAR allowing me 5 grams a day - 19 plants indoors and 5 plants outdoors. I asked if my wife can plant 4 recreational on our property in addition to my 5 plants. I was assured that this is legit and that, in fact, I can grow the 4 recreational myself if the wife was not interested. Good to know.
