Just read this over at the NWGT forum. It's posted by Steve Sarich, who has been pretty active in Olympia lately so I trust his word. Don't want to get anybody's hopes up but this nightmare may be over...crossing my fingers!! :hump::hump::hump::hump::hump::hump::hump::hump::hump::hump:

The Cody bill (HB2149) was pulled from the Senate Healthcare Committee today and it looks like it's totally dead (but you can never say never). If that's the case, and SB 5887 is not scheduled for another hearing......

WE MAY HAVE WON THIS SUCKER!!!!

If that's the case, we'll plan a party to celebrate! We should know by Friday. They're about out of time. We'll have the Republicans to thank for this one. That's where we've been focusing our efforts the last two weeks.

Well I know the other big bill was SB 5887...which was more lenient that HB 2149. Even SB 5887 isn't scheduled for another hearing...

Don't worry, the fight isn't over yet. I just thought I'd let everyone know that it was pulled from the Senate Healthcare Committee and that's a good sign.

I cant write worth a crap but had my wife write a good letter to our 5th district rep (R) Cathy McMorris-Rogers last week. Hopefully she even read it.

Thanks for the heads up and the link. Helpful it is in circles going, but a good link to have nonetheless! I'll be writing my reps/senators on them all!

On a side note, got a reply from Doc Hastings regarding my concern for the NSA's overreach of power. Had a little bit of a form letter feel to it, but they did get my name and address right, so that's a +

Got this email today:

Jason,

Thank you for taking the time to contact my office. Many people have expressed a strong interest in House Bill 2149 this session.

House Bill 2149 concerning medical marijuana was passed out of the Senate Health Care Committee and referred to the Senate Committee on Ways & Means. House Bill 2149 received a public hearing on March 3[SUP]rd[/SUP]; however, it was not passed out of the Ways & Means Committee by the cut-off time on the same date.

For this reason House Bill 2149 will likely not be considered further during the 2014 Legislative Session.

Regards,

Going to reply and let her know my feelings about 5887 & 6542. We can beat this!
