Hazeus

I managed to find a keeper plant out of about 17 females of Delta 9 labs-Brain rainstorm g13, proving even better than the rest on potency, smell and yield, i couldn't resist crossing it with something as it has alot of potential for breeding. It flowers in about 13 weeks or later, but i cut at 13. I got friend to give me some pollen from her male Atomic haze which most females she says reach perfect maturity at 10-11 weeks for harvest, and now i got some seeds of this on a pollinated cola, maybe 200-300 seeds. they look almost done (5 weeks so far)

ill call this experimental cross "Hazeus"

the parentage of this strain looks something like>
(Northern lights, Cambodian sativa, Super silver haze)Male X (Brainstorm haze, G13 haze)Female.

shouldn't it be spelt "jesus" and pronounced in a latin style? "hay-zoose"

sounds like it will be a long flowerer worth waiting for, haze-fucking-tastic!!

fuck i need a joint.

Well, to be clear, it was DR. Atomic's Atomic haze and not Dutch passion's Atomic Haze which smells of haze and spice with lemon, the g13 smells sweet and skunky with haze flavor on exhale, definitely the traits i want to appear out in the crosses lean more toward BSG13, something with the high of the BSG13 and flowering times closer to 10-11 weeks, with growth and incredible yields of the brainstorm. The Atomic haze is supposed to be a low yielder, so i can be in for some highly varying pheno's of Hazeus goodness.

dr atomic's is the REAL atomic haze. cannabible's author really likes that, but i think i'd try metal haze first as NL#5 is a step in the wrong direction. i'd really like to see C99 used in IBL breeding sessions as it's low odor, flowers in 45-50 days and the opposite of couchlocking.

i'm trying to do something with joey weed's grapey C99s and short stuff's lowryding super cali haze. i'd expect cindy to tame the stretch at least a little if not quite as much as 14" lowryding AK47s.

hazeus... i wasn't looking at it as hey zeus... i read it as hay zee us, but either way, it's a cool distinctive name... if you ever need guinea pigs... LOL

there are so many haze crosses out there. it's too bad high times doesn't do smoke reports. it'd be cool to see them do a haze x skunk/lemon skunk/cheese shootout. i got REALLY pissed when i bought a cannabis cup issue thinking i'd FINALLY get some strain lowdown of which the issue had NONE and instead was just some jerkoff reporter talking about everyone he smoked with and the pimple faced teen prostitute he slept with plutonically... yeah, right.

i didn't realize there was a breeder's corner here. i started my C99 x A11 breeding & strain shootout thread in the strains forum.

it'll be fun seeing what the regular folks here are cooking up at home

imagine ALL of that drudgery smoking gear that isn't quite there yet! LOL

i don't know about anyone else, but i feel a close connection to gear i've grown myself. i bet a big part of it is that i grow what sounds better than popular cash crapper strains, but you kinda get to know your girls to taking care of them. just being in the room with them & smelling them doing chores is relaxing. growing weed is kinda like a really slow strip tease.

I like to grow strains by reputable breeders, then use their genetics in my own breeding experiments. Sometimes this works and other times i end up wasting good herb for shitty seed stock. I had issues breeding with nirvana strains, so i stopped. i had issues breeding with DJ short, so i stopped. sometimes you just cant get the traits that you want and shitty traits stay dominant. but its all a part of the game. I love smoking and vaporizing but breeding is my hobby, i dont ever order a strain without contemplating the possibilities of breeding with it.

some day i want to get the landraces of the world and cross them together. Pangaea weed.

there's still IBLs out there, but you have to go out looking for them. there's a member here that got some decent vietnamese and i'm sure once you get away from the cities and out in the country, you can find gardeners still growing the good stuff in a lot of places. it'd be cool if some "johnny appleweed" went around the world collecting IBLs for breeders.

if you like breeding, than theoretically, almost any bean you pop except UFOs you're just curious about is a potential breeder as the gear sounds at least good enough to want to try.

it's nice too being able to select for the traits & THC profiles YOU want. i don't particularly like the "too much indica" sound of NL haze or 75% columbian, but SSH x cambodian sounds more IBL like to me.

i'd love to move to canada and get serious about breeding trippy strains you can do indoors and getting rid of afghanis in the gear almost entirely using stuff like C99 & lowryders. that right there is a cross i'm surprised no one has done yet. it seems like a natural to me. cindy ain't gonna be addin' no stone to shee man! 45-50 days flowering time is not shabby either. so far most of the lowryders out there lean towards skunky stony gear when they should be offing breeders the opportunity to finally break away from played out 2nd generation cash crop mentality.

it's time to move back to quality first strains!

it isn't just on breeders though. it's hard educating people to break out of the same old same old "what's the most potent?" "what's the best yielding?" mentality and steer them to gear that gets you high and that just as many, actually a little more, people prefer or in my case demand. if the first thing i ever smoked was a cash crapper strain and NOT columbian gold, there never would have been a second time.

i think some people dont care about genetics as much as others, and any og kush cross will do. i like seeing the offspring of the strains i buy, and if they suck i toss them, but ive kept thousands of seeds. by next year i'll be breeding my own crosses and ibl entirely, i'll try to get some testers if they are outstanding or worth sharing with the community.

that's why i like this forum so much. you can find superior gear by doing a little homework and see how stuff really performs as well as share your own experiences.

a lot of "top rated" strains don't impress me much at all... blueberry, diesels & probably a majority of the rest of the strains mostly geared towards stoney cash cropping. i did love the buzz on diesel based onyx, but that oil slick taste is hideous. *blech*
