hay smell. help

Hey guys,
I have these little root aphid bastards!!## I had them once before, and tried to kill them and lost. My girls were in veg when they died.
That was a year ago.
I had a bug free grow right after that. I was very careful, and steralized everything and, no problems.
I steralized everything for this grow too.
But
This was a bag of Happy Frog that I just got in. I think the soil is contaminated,because my plants are only two weeks old, from seed, not clone, sitting in solo cups with these aphids already. Could this be from my soil? If it is, I'm going to try to transplant them. I want to steralize this bag of soil. it's the only soil I have. How can I sterilize this soil? Thanks in advance.

It isnt a pros only group. This whole forum is trolls mostly group. Lol

Seriously though... most of the guys with the good info give it up only if you ask the right questions the right way. If you dont they ignore or ridicule you. If you take exception to that these gurus have mindless followers who will bait you into a bunch of ego driven insult scrap.

So tread carefully.

Now when you do ask the right questions the right way you will get very detailed advice from these gurus, which they expect to be followed explicitly or not at all. If you dont follow explicitly it is taken as insult and you will be ridiculed. Also, when given this good explicit info it is best to offer profuse thanks to the growing god guru...

Butbthere are some good, reasonable folk here too tho. Youll find em. They will offer decent advice and not take offense if you dont follow it explicity. This advice is usually "good enough" stuff. Not every grower here strives for perfection so they can lay claim to being the best. They just want to grow great weed for a minimum of fussing.

So. Anyway. Getting a bit of hay smell when you chop and dry isnt the end of the world. It will go away when you cure in jars. And it will smoke well enough that no aficionados will be able to tell that you didnt do it the perfect way....

No questions are petty or dumb. We all started out with those exact same questions. Some forget that...

I hope i didnt come off as condescending. Your question is good. ive just answered it a dozen times. After a while of growing you veer away from basic things such as nute Ratios and lighting, monotonous questions such as these, not to sound better than anyone, i have been growing a little over 10 years and thats less than others, of course. I do really enjoy the scientific aspect. With degrees in pharmacology i enjoy concentrates and whats going on in the body. So dont take offense, and i dont think i have any mindless trollish followers, though there are people that prefer my advice over others i dont think i have such a big head. I hope gquebed wasnt talking about me.
