Hey all. I appreciate the help I've been getting from everyone. This site is a savior. Anyways, I just got some pretty basic nutes for my first grow thats going on now. Wondering if anyone has used these, and if so, did you like the results and continue to use or have you found something better? Thanks and smoke good.:hump:

Hey Cuervo, those nutrients are good, but while they are effective in hydroponics, there are many more effective nutrients than botanicare. The only downside to their nutrients that I have experienced is that they sometimes froth in active DWC systems where airflow is optimized and the nutrients are constantly agitated, in addition to the thickness of the nutrients sometimes leaving weird films on the inside of the buckets. It is highly recommended that some kind of vitamin additive should be added to your list to prevent deficiencies during your flowering phase such as bud candy by advanced nutrients, or vegan compost tea by general hydroponics. To be as simple as possible though, your vegetative stage is primarily to setup the plants structure which does not take many nutrients or trace elements, but when the plant is in flowering and producing flowers, its food requirements are extremely different and strain the plant to produce (its like puberty for humans, a stressful time that requires a lot of nutrients!). Bud Candy and vegan compost tea give you all those extra kicks to prevent the common yellowing people see, and will increase the aromatic flavors in addition to healthier looking plants :). If you have any more questions don't hesitate to ask!

Hmm, haven't had the chance to try these nutes yet, so it will be good to see how things turn out for you.

I agree with adding the Bud Candy. It's not a fave of mine, but so many others I know have said it really gives your grow the boost it needs for delish results.

Haven't tried vegan compost tea. Is that something you make on your own or can you buy that somewhere? I'm not really a person who likes to work too hard. LOL

Neat thread. Just wish the photos would load up faster. What a pain in the ass.
