Have you ever......

Has anyone ever tried the potato trick with fungus gnats? Take a slice of potato and put it on the soil, the larvae feeds on it, and you remove both larvae and potato, and repeat if needed. Seems to be my only option at the moment, along with vinegar, sticky stuff, and a fly trap.

Haven't tried it, but sounds like a cool trick. It probably won't keep your garden completely devoid of gnat larvae but might keep them down to numbers that are insignificant enough to cause damage.

I hear Gnatrol is super good stuff. Again, won't kill 100% of them, but will keep them way way down.
