Have I got enough room?

got a loft with the highest point at 1.5 meters

I know not the biggest of lofts

can I get away with a CFL or LED grow? Considering the bulb or led box won't go as high as the 1.5

What's best??

Yes you could. I used to work in an even shorter space. If you live somewhere with a hot climate that would be the primary challenge.

Yes. you have plenty of room for a small grow. i am currently working with height limitations myself, and i only have 2 feet to work with. LST'ing, supercropping, and fimming have worked wonders for me. these methods create a very short and bushy plant. you have plenty of room tho, i would kill for that much height!

Would you suggest CFL or LED?

HPS in a cool tube or air cooled hood. But anything will work

I'd use a 400w hps with an 6" in line fan to cool. Maybe a 600 if your floor space is big enough.

Attic grows are never the best places to grow canna, as you have already discovered, height is one issue, but for me, temperature swings are to great, and you only have to have a leak and you are in serious trouble, and as for permuting smell, thats another issue too, ....wait and see!

Yep, go LED and it will help with temps. I used to pump cool air in from the rooms below. Id recommend the new area 51 when it comes out or if you can, go with DiY COB LED.

LED or t5 that space is gonna get hot as hell and imo too small for a cool tube + inline fan but if that stuff fits and you can make it work get the cool tube it will get you bigger buds faster.

nothing wrong with cfl either....if yr on a budget....you didnt say if you had a bunch of money to burn....but in my small grow, (much much smaller then yrs) i am using cfl. they dont put off much heat. what is the temps holding at up there just as is, with no assitance of fans, or anything else?
