Hash pressing and decarboxylation

ok so question everyone!! Was curious what you all thought about a wine bottle filled with hot oil heated to around 250 to keep the temp buffered around 220-240 for further decarbing.....and using the hot oil filled bottle to press some dry soft to make it into both hash and decarb it at the same time.....was curious since I remember reading about pressing it out with boiling hot water inside the bottle but know that wouldn't give as good of a decarb as pressing it with hot oil that stayed up to temp better.....i was curious if anyone had ever tried that method with possibly better results that doing it with the boiling hot water? or is the lower temp from the hot water a better way to go and jjust do a longer pressing with it?

go for it dude, or just do it rosin style.

Yeah. But how ya gonna hold that hotass bottle? Gloves? Better be well insulated...I have pressed dry sifted full melt hash with an iron on low sandwiched between parchment paper - works good maybe less mess than a hot oil filled bottle IMO

Yeah I was thinking about using insulated oven mitts or something similar......how's the iron on low work and come out ? You think it's getting up to the proper temps to decarboxylate?! What would your guess for what temp the iron reaches when it runs on low?

Not sure never checked it but if you put your hand iron on lowest setting it gets maybe 100-150? deg F; thought you are supposed to decarb your bud before you run your hash if that is your plan- I don't know much about decarb or what temp you need to release the THC-A which is what I believe you are trying to do here but anyway the idea behind pressing your hash is to basically melt the resin heads through low heat & pressure to make it all one uniform slab. If the bubble or dry sifted material you start with is cleaned of any contamination (tiny pieces of leaf/bud/twig) before pressing you'll end up with a nice full melt; high grade dabbable "artisanal" hash.
Fold over a large piece of parchment paper on top of a hard heat resistant surface- I used a piece of flooring tile- place your cleaned hash in between the fold & go lightly until the heads melt, then fold it on itself & keep ironing it out flat again until desired texture is achieved

I use a brick style mold.
Bottom plate. Sift in poly bag. Top plate on. Wrap in wet towel. Into oven @ 240 for 20-30 min. Keep an eye on it, keep that towel wet! Out it comes. Into the press. Puuuuuuuuurfect. (.)(.)

Buds are beautiful on the plant, but I have no use for them after. Its hashish at its finest, the rest can go to someone else. Hash only. mmmmm (.)(.) and boobs.
