Has anyone tried Currant Kush (VIP Seeds)?

I've been interested in this strain, especially because the photos make it look beautiful- a very frosty purple.

Has anybody tried it, and could you give me a review? I've only seen a couple, and VIP themselves say the flavor has been described as minty, fruity, sweet, and that no two people taste it alike. I was curious if this is true, I like that idea a lot actually.

Hello, I have not tried said strain. However, I recently just ordered currant kush seeds for next years grow. I know it doesn't help right now. But I will be posting pictures next year, as I myself could not find anyone who has tried this.

I have one planted outside, but it never got very big. I think something may have caused some stress to some of my plants, I also have two Afghani's that never made it over about 18 inches tall.

We've had a VERY wet season so far, far more than we usually get, and I think it's something to do with that.

Yes, you have had a very wet season. I only hope that El Niño is really coming because we. Need the rain out here. My fingers are crossed it doesn't come until mid October. It's funny, I also have four plants that were also stressed due to the weather.

I have a Sunshine Daydream that's like six feet tall, a couple of four feet tall bag seeds, and a Critical + bag seed growing in one spot, but my "main" spot was just too wet this year and the other five plants are between 22" and 44" inches. It's pretty sad in terms of volume, but it's been a fun learning experience so far.

I also lost an Afghani and a Currant Kush to rain this year, I threw mulch all around and all to try and draw some water away from them but it didn't help much.

That's awesome, there's always the next grow. I'm growing Cookies Kush, I have Five of those. There all about 9 feet right now. I'm also growing Five Green Crack, which are about 8 1/2 feet right now. Also I have Five Fruit Punch which are about 8 feet. I have Three Incredible Bulk, there about six foot. Three Lemon Haze, which I'm not to happy with as they are all stunted. But, I'm bringing back two of them. So, it's been a good year for me. Sorry your not having the same luck. But it sounds like I'm getting more lightbongsmilie

Wow, that's awesome! I also didn't get planted too early, it was late May when I got my seedlings in the ground. Next year will be different. I planted close to a water source this year because I thought I'd have to be bringing buckets of water from the stream when there wasn't much rain but that hasn't been a problem. I think next year I'm going to mix up a huge tub of soil, perlite, vermiculite, and mulch before I plant. Something with even more drainability, just in case. I also started a hydroponic grow recently, and I'm thinking of doing a Currant Kush when I buy another bucket system.

Your plants sound incredible! Let me know what the Fruit Punch is like, that's been in my wish list forever but I haven't bitten the bullet yet.

I guess I should have mentioned, right now in my hydro grow I have a Mango Chocolope. It looks good so far, I bought it as a clone.

I'm going to start a Pyramid seeds Auto Shark, and a Royal Queen Bubble Kush Auto soon-ish too. Both were bag seeds for me, but I want to plant them and give them a try. They came from a grower I trust, so I thought I'd give them a shot.

You'll have to let me know how the shark is. Never tried it, I've heard good things though. Next year I'm going to grow, Bubba Kush, Currant Kush, Cookies Kush. I'm only doing one grow a year outdoor, I use to grow indoor. But, found the yield outdoor is more rewarding.

This is actually the fourth Shark I've started, none of the others have made it beyond seedling stage but I'm not sure why. I'm pretty sure its failure on my part, but could be a bad pack. My sister's ex-boyfriend grew four this summer and they gave him about an ounce each growing outdoors, planted in mid-April and harvested in early July.

I've not tried it for a smoke report, but hopefully I'll get to see him and try some.

I think I'm going to order some Fruit Punch seeds for next year's grow, or maybe my winter indoor grow. I've wanted to try it for a long while, and want to give it a spin.

My Fruit Punch's just really kicked up there flowering. The buds look amazing, they look like cotton growing on a tree lol. I will take some pictures later today and post. Also on hoping, my Currant Kush seeds should be here this week!

The Shark seedling looks really good so far. I'll keep you updated. I'm going to harvest a Barney's Pineapple Express Auto tomorrow but it's literally only about 1/4 oz. Smells Great though!

Cookies Kush is actually on my wants list. I finally tried Girl Scout Cookies and Girl Scout Kookies Thin Mints last time I went to Denver (about a month ago) and was very impressed. Kushes really hit it for me, I've never met one I didn't love, haha.

Yeah I'm a huge Kush lover. I have never tried GSC, or any of the cookies strains. So, this will be my first. They just started flowering, and the smell is mouth watering. So I'm growing, Cookies Kush, one Banna Kush, one Master Kush, Fruit Punch, Humbolt Green Crack, Lemon Haze, Dr. kripler Incredible Bulk.
