Harvesting a plant that has powdery mildew

I only have 2 weeks to go and just started seeing some fan leaves with powdery mildew on them and didn't want to spray the plants so I've been hand picking infected leaves off. When I harvest will the powdery mildew still be around? Will I need to inspect buds every day they're drying for powdery mildew still? is there anything special I should do so I don't lose my whole harvest to this stupid mildew?

Had this pop up a time or two ....
I mixed up a 10:1 mix of milk / skim and water in a water bottle
Sprayed fans with it , really bad leaves are carefully pulled and trashed.
Since you say you are at end 2 weeks , you can spray this then trim out the leaf material when harvesting. I had to do a bud wash on the harvest buds with water , then hang as usual.

Biggest issue is to clean the shit out of your grow area - spores will linger and infect new grows.

Thanks it's not on the buds at the moment and every leave it's been on I've removed the leave. would you recommend a bud wash even if it's not visible on the buds? Also would a would either a wet trim or dry trim impact it spreading while it's still drying?

I would ... Many seem to discount the method , but works well . Simple dunking and rolling motion within water will loosen and remove foreign debris - bugs , dust , hair , foliar residue , etc.

You only have to do this for about 20 - 30 seconds and drip dry . Triches will be fine. You are NOT handling buds only the stem as you move it in water wash. You will be surprised how much shit comes off plants. Baking soda in water helps rid PM as this is another method of PM control ( baking soda / water in spray bottle ) which can be sprayed on affected leaves in grow room.

There are many variations on " bud washing " on YouTube , check it out.

These are WASHED buds that had the PM and hang dried - it doesn't add anymore time to drying ( shake off excess carefully before hanging and provide good airflow in area drying ) and actually look pretty damn good.

Regular 3% Hydrogen Peroxide will clean affected leaves safely, and evaporates completely after 2 days max. I use about 8oz per gallon but it's safe at much higher concentrations, but may burn white hairs on buds

a bud wash seems in order. it's gonna be close to 180 grams so it's gonna take forever but it'd be nice to know there's no powdery mildew.

I spray the 3% stuff undiluted without a problem. I also use a little aloe vera gel as a wetting agent

I had it once last year growing at this time..was in week 8ish in flower and noticed it..by week 10 harvest it had only spread to one other leaf..when i dried the buds, i realized they had botrytis, which often times goes hand in hand with the mildew. Thankfully it only affected the very top of 3-4 buds. Whatever method you choose, make sure you clean it well as it spreads easily! This year i got a dehumidifier and been using silica as well..so far so good. Make sure temps in flower stay above 18 celsius (66f) and humidity stays below 60%, ideally closer to 40%.

So mine showed up at week 6 but they only need to make it to week 7 n change. the temps and humidity are in that range but I'm picking off infected leaves everyday (mostly fan leaves). I'm keeping a close eye on them n will probably wash the buds still in case I missed anything. Just got a lot of money n time invested n don't wanna lose my whole harvest.

I thought all was good too as it was only visible on the leaf in small specks..the botrytis i saw when i cut up my first nug to smoke...it grows from within the bud , so its not visible to the outside at all..only when you break the bud..its all brown and whitish inside. Hopefully it works out for you..in the end, it's how one learns:)
